@@DAX-PMFT agreed. Maybe they aren’t the best halo games, but gameplay wise they are very good. The evolution of the combat in 4 makes for a very fun legendary play through
Great vid! I am basically a walking encyclopedia on this series so if you have any questions about stuff you were curious on, feel free to reply to this and I'll answer what I can.
Will never forget playing this for the first time in 2007. I was around 10 and My Dad and I were huge Halo fans, and the day this came out he took the day off from work and let me stay home from school so we could finish the fight together. This game has given me such good memories Im so glad you got to the Halo series.
My first Halo was watching my brother and his friend play Halo 2 when I was 4 and not understanding anything that was on screen. A few years later I got to play 3 with my brother and cousin and loved the multi-player, although it was just the 3 of us. The first time I saw that opening, alone, late at night, devoid of context of what came before my 8 yr old mind wasn't just blown, it felt like I was absorbed into a whole other world completely. Halo 3 absolutely ensnared my heart in a similar way Lord of the Rings did, and watching you play this brought back some of those wonderful old feelings. So glad you enjoyed playing Halo 3 and I can't wait for ODST and ESPECIALLY Reach. Take it easy S0ur and remember: Spartans never die, they're just missing in action...
On whether you think you should continue with the games after 4, I think you should. They are still fun and good games, they just make some decisions for the direction of the story which weren't well received (Also an artstyle change you'll see in 4). Halo Infinite returns to form for a lot of the feeling for the campaign and I think it is an interesting open world experience, so I definitely think it's worth continuing.
Seeing something this in 2025 running through halo one, two, and three. It's a special thing. On legendary and experiencing it for the first time? Once in a lifetime. Thank you S0ur.
Great Video S0ur- Don't play Halo 4... at least not until you play ODST and then Reach. Halo 4's story was okay... At least the parts involving Cortana and Chief emotional relationship were worth experiencing. But the gameplay isn't as enjoyable or rewarding. Halo:ODST is one of the easiest on Legendary, but the story is great and music is phenomenal. Reach has to be my favorite campaign of the series. Especially the armor customization that allow you to show it off in the cut scenes. 👍 Can't wait to watch more of your Halo Journey!
Thoroughly enjoyed this series, thanks for making it! very excited to see you play the next few games (even H4 if just to hear your thoughts on 343's decisions)
Man, when Halo 3 came out it was such a blast. It was everything they learned from H1 and 2 just made to perfection, the multiplayer was really well balanced and the most fun I've ever had on an online game. They added Forge, a map editor, and people were able to host games and amazing creations, and still do if you go to custom games browser on MCC, there's servers with people playing mini games and all sorts of gametypes across all the mainline Halo's. And it's just an amazing conclusion to the trilogy. The end with Cortana saying "It's been an honor serving with you, John" as the explosion consumes them is perfect.
Trust me S0ur, Reach and ODST are loved by many people (Halo 4 was it being "dragged out"). Reach was an amazing send-off to Halo and ODST is a great way to create a side story (maybe have a look at Firefight mode). I really like the music in Halo 3, yet I think the music in Reach and ODST is on another level. I'm sure you will enjoy them both and I'm looking forward to seeing you make a great video for them too. Great video S0ur, It's good to see you power through another one of these on Legendary.
New watcher here, came from your Halo 2 playthrough. While the games after this may be lacking in the story department (though personally I really enjoy 4's), they're still good fun! Different gameplay, sure, but still enjoyable if you don't expect them to be quite the same. I'd love to see you cover the whole series, honestly. Regardless, I'm glad you've enjoyed yourself thus far!
Ngl just last night I checked your channel to see if you finally released this video and then today I was so happy to see you released it. Halo 3 is such a good game. I didn't grow up with it, I've actually only played it in the last year or two. But the impact this game has had on my life is truely monumental. Halo 4 is definitely a game I'm very curious to see and hear your opinion on. It's defenitely a like it or you don't game. I'm in the middle on it honestly. Anyways, cheers! I'm continually excited for each Halo video you release!
Watching you playing this games is very enjoyable, I've seen other playing these for the first time but they usually are pretty bad and have zero awareness lol, it's refreshing seeing someone competent and also props to you for playing on legendary, for a first time player it can be very challenging.
Really enjoyed watching your playthrough! So great to see someone experience Halo for the first time. I'd play ODST next then Reach which it sounds like that's what you're going to do. Maybe check out Halo Wars 1 and 2 though those are RTS games. Cut scenes though are gnarly. Heads up for the future you can tuck your legs in while jumping to get on higher ledges. Just crouch while you're in the air and you can make higher jumps. Super helpful.
Thanks for the cozy Sunday viewing. Given even 343i memory holed halo 5 with halo infinite I don't think alot of people would complain if you skipped halo 5. Legend has it people on ww2 are still getting blinded by with a signal flare.
The guys asking about the password is an easter egg based on the old Machinima series Red Vs Blue. Every difficulty you play has different lines when you go up to the door. Johnson also has different lines in every game based on the difficulty. In Halo 1 it was when he talks to the soldiers in the first cutscene, in 2 it's when he gives Chief the tank, and in 3 it's just a couple words after Chief holds a gun up to arbiter in the opening.
People overreact, halo 4 and 5 are worse than 2 and 3 and reach but still decent. They are just a bit different and people hate that halo infinites gameplay is really fun imo
I think they nailed the Flood in 3 finally, making them more terrifying story-wise and less of a brutal slog in gameplay. Well, ranged forms aside, and Cortana aside, buuut as a whole, it's more fun to just carve through their hordes now. I love how Halo CE introduced the Covenant, unstoppable alien destroyers who were, by ONI's estimate, weeks from wiping us out by the opening of Combat Evolved... and then revealed in the first game that they're like, an extremely distant third in the hierarchy of threat. With the Flood as an extremely distant first-place in that ranking; even the ancient machines that will kill everything were just a Hail Mary to try and stop the Flood.
Awww, I hope you continue through halo infinite! (Halo 5 is impossible to play on pc, although it doesn't deserve the level of hate it gets). I found halo infinite's legendary to be a very fun and satisfying playthrough, with smart enemies and actually good boss battles. Either way thrilled to see this one come out, this series brought me to the channel! though metal of honor misery land is something special as well, I just don't want this series to end lol

I just finished the halo 2 video and to my absolute delight I see the halo 3 video just got posted, I had the biggest smile on my face especially because this is my favorite halo!
I definitely recommend checking out Halo 4, 5 and Infinite. Regardless of how they were received and other people think about them, I can assure you they are plenty of fun.
@@DAX-PMFT agreed. Maybe they aren’t the best halo games, but gameplay wise they are very good. The evolution of the combat in 4 makes for a very fun legendary play through
@@L0rdskullz Oh yeah. Halo 4 on Legendary is tough but enjoyable if you know the tricks
haha no
Great vid!
I am basically a walking encyclopedia on this series so if you have any questions about stuff you were curious on, feel free to reply to this and I'll answer what I can.
Welp, I guess I'm watching this for the rest of the day.
I love how much the NPC's talk to you in battle, and how relevant the things they say are.
They're actually believable as real people in this game.
One of the best games of all time
I’ve been looking forward to this video since I finished your playthrough of Halo 2! Excited to watch!
Another great video! I found your channel through the Halo 2 campaign and moved on to your classic CoD and MoH campaigns.
Man I have been WAITING for this. Never clicked a video so fast.
Man i've been waiting for this to drop, loving the series
literally finished watching your halo 2 playthrough last night bro, what insane timing
My favorite Halo game! Played this with my brother so much as a kid. Glad to see you playing it!
Bro that world of war signal flare moment hit hard
The timing on this upload. I just binged watched your ce and 2 playthrough yesterday.
Seeing something this in 2025 running through halo one, two, and three. It's a special thing. On legendary and experiencing it for the first time? Once in a lifetime. Thank you S0ur.
Were it so easy.
Finally! Thank you S0ur!
Its been forever since ive played this
LETS GO, been waiting for this ❤
Great Video S0ur- Don't play Halo 4... at least not until you play ODST and then Reach.
Can't wait to watch more of your Halo Journey!
Personally, I found Halo 4's gameplay to be very fun, but that's just me. Maybe we should let him play it and make decide for himself, no?
@@seanherrmann6301 Fair enough, either way it will make for a fun video 👍
"Oh man, I love this! The Flood are so chill!"
Cortana: _Does he know?_
I just finished watching your Halo 1 and 2 vids a few hours ago, perfect timing on that upload
THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR
yes the boring and short campaign.
@ short yeah, boring, no.
I just watched the halo ce and halo 2 vids again last night hahaha. I'm shocked to get to directly continue the next day.
If you give a launcher like the fuel rod gun to your warthog passenger, he can seriously help out
Trust me S0ur, Reach and ODST are loved by many people (Halo 4 was it being "dragged out").
Such an amazing game. I cry a little bit there. Can't wait to see what you do next. Halo reach. ODST. Halo wars 1/2 4 and 5 and infinite.
Ahhh easily the best halo (or at least the most satisfying to play)
the shortest and most boring
I am smiling to myself, knowing that the hunters get stronger every subsequent game. You'll love them😅
Halo 3 is so damn good. It was my first one growing up and it’s just so iconic.
so bad
i love your halo playthroughs, there always a highlight
For the people saying don't play 5 or infinite, at least play infinite, Infinite is one of the most fun in terms of gameplay
LETS GOOOO THE GOAT UPLOADED!!!
Yessssss finally!!!! I’ve wanted to see this so much!!!!!!
Thanks for the cozy Sunday viewing. Given even 343i memory holed halo 5 with halo infinite I don't think alot of people would complain if you skipped halo 5. Legend has it people on ww2 are still getting blinded by with a signal flare.
2:58:20 best edit of all time absolutely peak, brought me to tears
Man we didn’t know how good we had it back then. The golden era. Glad to have lived it.
Nice to see 'alo get some play
"Was I the first to put this table into the puddle?" Yes, Yes you were lol
The guys asking about the password is an easter egg based on the old Machinima series Red Vs Blue. Every difficulty you play has different lines when you go up to the door.
Johnson also has different lines in every game based on the difficulty. In Halo 1 it was when he talks to the soldiers in the first cutscene, in 2 it's when he gives Chief the tank, and in 3 it's just a couple words after Chief holds a gun up to arbiter in the opening.
People overreact, halo 4 and 5 are worse than 2 and 3 and reach but still decent. They are just a bit different and people hate that
halo infinites gameplay is really fun imo
Can’t believe I just watched this all in one sitting, the fight, it’s finished.
This is my favourite game. I am sso happy that you are playing it
I think they nailed the Flood in 3 finally, making them more terrifying story-wise and less of a brutal slog in gameplay.
YES baby. was waiting for this
Blessings upon blessings, perfect video for post work subway meal.
its great that you finally finished the whole master chief campaings
Shit, the fact that he got some rare opening dialog on his first play through is priceless 😂
