At 17 o'clock in a galvanic plant in the industrial area in Neuenrade-Küntrop a fire broke out. The column of smoke was visible for 10 kilometers, flames shot up to 50 meters high in the sky. City alarm was triggered, sirens howled several times. About 250 rescue workers were deployed, according to the estimation of the deputy district fireman Michael Klink. Again and again was nachalarmiert, twitching blue lights everywhere, for hours were heard sirens. Fire brigades from the entire Märkischer Kreis, the Hochsauerlandkreis, the Olpe district, Hagen and Dortmund were involved. Likewise THW and DRK, as well as the police, which shut down the industrial area and drove loudspeaker announcements through Neuenrade and asked the residents to keep the windows and doors closed. A mere precautionary measure, as it later turned out - the smoke column posed no threat to the population after continuous measurements of special measuring cables. Nobody was injured during the major fire. The property damage goes into the millions.

meine absolute Hochachtung gilt den Kollegen der FF bzw. der BF - ich war 45 Jahre ehrenamtlich im Rettungsdienst des DRK und war auch sehr oft bei Großbränden teilweise bis in die frühen Morgenstunden mit im Einsatz.

So löscht man ein Feuer richtig. So schnell wie möglich sicherstellen, dass eine hohe Wasserversorgung gegeben ist und dann nicht nur aus 1-2 Stahlrohren sprühen. Hab das eben schon gesehen, dass die Feuerwehr meinte, mit einem einzigen Rohr einen Vollbrand löschen zu können.

Das ist auch immer eine Frage des Wasserangebots in der Umgebung. Wer nur auf Hydranten angewiesen ist, steht bei gröberen Einsätzen schnell mal am Anschlag. Glücklich können jene sein, welche auf Freibäder, Seen und Flüsse zurückgreifen können, auch wenn dies dann in der Regel einen schweren Wassertransport über lange Strecken erfordert und eine entsprechende "Zeitinvestition" einberechnet werden muss!

Alarmierwn Sie, bis ich Stopp sage... kann aber dauern....😜
