- 15 December, 1968. Opening for the Cream. Jimmy Page wanted Terry to be the vocalist in his "New Yardbirds" (Led Zepplin) but Reid had already committed to a US tour with Clapton and company so he suggested trying one Robert Plant who he had heard in a band he'd shared a bill with back in England. Later he turned down a spot in Deep Purple giving it over to Ian Gillian. Terry's still performing today. I see on his website he's cancelled a show for tomorrow night at Under The Bridge in London because of a chest ailment and re-scheduled for June the 2nd. Maybe you should check him out.

Absolutely stellar show! Superlungs never, ever disappoints. 3 of my favorite Terry songs, “Penny,” “Marking Time,” and “Writing On The Wall”…first time I have ever heard them live. Spectacular! Thanks very much for uploading this recording.
love to hear a duet with this cat and Janis, man o man!
This guy blows me away each time I listen.
i saw him in 68 with cream(balt. civic cntr). i'd never heard of him, but thought he blew away the other acts-cream, moody blues. i've always wanted him to succeed. he seems like a cool guy. guess fame never mattered to him too much.
My Favorite song by Terri Reid was from his first album, “Stay With Me Baby”. Saw him in a small club in NYC before Fillmore East, ‘68 or ‘69.
When both Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple want you fronting them, then you've really got something special going on... Just imagine how both bands would have sounded with Reid singing, and if they would have allowed him to play guitar, as well! 🎸🎤👊🔥😃
The band in this album is
Sounds so natural, where Robert Plant sounds like he straining. God, just imagine Black Dog sung by Terry.... phewww
Tinker Tailor rocks so hard, love mr Reid
