On day 7 of anterior hip replacement..
The progress I'm making daily is nothing short of miraculous.

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on hip replacement surgery. Dr. Sizer does a great job explaining and updating the evolution of the procedure. I could imagine it as he describes; powerful and effective speaker.

I had all of these done with both of my hip replacements, spinal anesthetic and twilight sleep. My second hip replace 4 months after 1st was 75% faster recovery. Off all medication after 3 days, only Tylenol. My therapy after surgery was mild. My new hips has given me my life back! Beyond thankful for this surgery!

Hello! I’m glad it’s worked out great! Did docs say that you will need another hip replacement if so how many years? or since it’s upgraded it’s no longer needed?

I had my hip replaced in 2000 by Dr. Sharkey of Rothman Ortho. I report that I have had no setbacks or negative follow ups. I have been pain free since the procedure and have also dropped my handicap in golf from a 33 for 9 holes, down to a 4 this past season. Most rounds I do walk also, just use a pull cart. Thank you Rothman!

I heard do it at your earliest convenience. My rheumatologist told my brother over and over again hip replacement surgery is one of the most successful surgeries but he has been dragging his feet(and his hip) and now he can hardly even stand without support.
However I wonder how long the replacement last, 15 years or 20 years?

I am a cloud network engineer as well as building them. I am 63, and actively working. I understand Ceramic replacement has the best results for active people polyurethane crossmember is not. Is this true? The biggest concern with COC is if one falls and it takes an impact, it might shatter.

I need 2 hip replacements, 2 knee replacements, 2 large toe replacements, 5 squashed disc's, Scoliosis, Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis in my spine, both hands have carpel tunnel syndrome and will adventually need an operation in both.
This was due to a young male stealing a car and he hit me head on at 120kms per hour and he spun out of control and hit me in the drivers side door of my car, in 2017 i had a bladder prolapse lift, band was used and the Surgeon drilled into my pelvic bone on either side.
I am booked in for my first hip replacement in July, i am worried about my pelvic bone while the sugeon does my hip surgery, can you please tell me is it to dangerous to have hip surgery due to my pelvis already been drilled into ?
    Kind regards
    Michelle
