- One person has died and more than 30 others are injured after a Singapore Airlines Boeing flight hit severe turbulence Tuesday - plunging 6,000 feet.
The Boeing 777-300ER jet was headed to Singapore from London when it was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok at 3:45 p.m. local time, the airline said.
The flight was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew at the time.

I’ll be 55 Thursday and I’ve only flown twice in my life and that was when we moved to Germany from the US because my dad was in service there and I was newborn then and then our trip returning home when I was 2. I’ve always been torn on flying because I’d absolutely LOVE to travel about but I’m pretty sure I’d have be under light sedation or have had a few adult drinks to calm my nerves! My daughter who is now 30 flew to Italy for a couple of weeks at age 14 with the Missionary Ministry of her Church and I was a nervous wreck while she was in the air! I won’t go on Ocean Cruises either because I just know that if a ship or plane were to go down it would be the one I’m on! 😮😂
So what happens every time you hop in a car? Because statistically that is way more dangerous.
You can be sitting on your recliner watching the TV in the privacy of your own home", and at any moment an airplane can a crash land on you.
That’s what happened in Clearwater, Fl several months ago. 2 women died when a plane landed on their mobile home.

BOEING plane AGAIN and this time they are talking about the RADAR SYSTEM onboard Boeing triple 777-300-ER model plane that dont give normal and expected Reading about the weather ( Storms, etc,, ) on real time when on automatic mode....!!!! I want to add that this problem is well know among Pilots who are flying that model plane and it is also known by the Airlines company and PROBABLY by BOEING itself --- BUT NOTHING IS DONE TO CORRECT THAT RADAR SYSTEM ONBOARD ALL BOEING 777-300-ER MODEL PLANES….WHY..??? And what about all other Boeing model planes, do they all have that same problem regarding their Radar system or not...??

Agree for wearing seat belt for whole flight. In this case, the General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport said in the press conference that most of passengers wore their seat belt but the turbulence was really heavy. The plane suddenly dropped 6000 feet in just 5 minutes, so many passengers were swung up hit the overhead compartment. And the reason that the cabin crews were providing service and some passengers were out of their seat during the turbulence was the seat belt sign was off. The turbulence can be successfully predicted around 75% up to 18 hours ahead and this case was one of the unpredictable.
