Lord I know you have a purpose for me. Even though at times I do not understand. I have complete trust in you Heavenly Father. Being a single mom with two children with special needs is overwhelming at times. Every month is a struggle to get by. But as I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. I keep faith. Faith is all I have left. I WILL NEVER STOP TRUSTING THE LORD. God give me strength.

    Romans 8:3-4 KJVS
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: [4] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

      Who meant? Paul?
Paul meani gs are to not legal ize Torah and apply it to your Heart for Richousness.
      1 tim 1:5
Now the PURPOSE of the COMMANDMENTS is LOVE from a pure HEART, from a good conscience, and from SINCERE faith,
      Duet 30 10
if you OBEY the Adonai/LORD your YAH/God and keep his COMMANDS and DECREES that are written in this Book of the .Torah/Law and turn to the Adonai/LORD your God with all your HEART and with all your SOUL.
      Proverbs 3 3
Let know LOVING commitment ant TRUTH forsake you-bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your HEART.
      2 cor 3 3
And you show that you are a letter from Messiah/Christ DELIVERED by us, written not with ink but with the SPIRIT of the living YAH/God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human HEARTS.
      Psalms 95 10-11
For forty years I was angry with that generation, and I said, “They are a people whose HEARTS go astray, and they have not known My ways.
      Ezekiel 11 19-20
And I will give them one HEART, and a NEW SPIRIT I will put within them. I will remove the HEART of stone from their flesh and give them a HEART of flesh, that they may walk in "my statutes" and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my "PEOPLES", and I will be their YAH/God.
      Jer 31 33
But this is the COVENANT that I will make with the HOUSE of ISRAEL after those days, declares the Adonai/Lord: I will put my TORAH within them, and I will write it on their HEARTS. And I will be their YAH/God, and they shall be MY PEOPLES ie YAHisrael.
      Hebrews 8 7-13
      Hebrews 10 16
This is the COVENANT I will make with them after that time, says the Adonai/Lord. I will put my TORAH/ law in their HEARTS, and I will write them on their MINDS.”
      Daniel 7 28
Hitherto is the END OF THE MATTER. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I KEPT the MATTER in my HEART
Eph 6:6 - not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as BONDSERVANTS of Messiah/Christ, doing the WILL of YAH/God from the HEART,
      Isaiah 56 6-7
And FOREIGNERS who bind themselves to the Adonai/LORD to minister to him, to LOVE the name of the Adonai/LORD, and to be his SERVANTS, all who KEEP THE SABBITH without desecrating it and who hold fast to my COVENANT -
these I will bring to my HOLY mountain and give them joy in my HOUSE of prayer. Their burnt offerings and SACRIFICES will be ACCEPTED on my altar; for my HOUSE will be called a house of prayer for all NATIONS.”
      ~Now you.can understand~
      Jeremiah 17-5
Thus says the Adonai/LORD: “Cursed is the man who "TRUST IN MAN" And makes flesh his strength, Whose HEART departs from the Adonai/LORD.
      Rev 12-17 00
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the COMMANDMENTS of YAH/God, and have the TESTIMONY of YAHshua Humasheoc/Jesus Christ”
      Rev 14 12
Here is the patience of the Kadosh/qaddish/saints; here are those who keep the COMMANDMENTS of YAH/God and the faith of YAHshua/Jesus
      Rev 22 14
Blessed are those washing their robes, that their right will be to the TREE OF LIFE, and they shall enter into the CITY BY THE GATES.
      ECC 12 13
When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: FEAR YAH/GOD and KEEP His COMMANDMENTS, because this is the WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.

Sure you are. God is not complicated and his message, the Good News, is fairly simple. Read the gospels. I recommend Mark but it's up to you. Take specific notice of what Jesus says and think about. Spend time with it. Then compare it to what you believe about God and his relationship with us. Your knowledge and understanding will build. By thinking deeply about Jesus message, and help from the holy spirit, you may understand Jesus and the good news more than religious leaders or experts. Matthew 11:25 says, "At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children." Nobody can really tell you what the good news is for you. Just like no one can have your relationship with God but you. You have to do it yourself. But it can be a interesting and great journey and you certainly have the skills to undertake it.

    • @gnosticallyspeaking3544
      @gnosticallyspeaking3544 Месяц назад +1

Others answers aren't really important. They may be correct. But they might also be incorrect. Even if everyone agrees with them. For example, Mark 3 shows Jesus healing on the Sabbath. God's prescribed day of rest. Some religious leaders at the time thought that any sort of activity on that day was a sin against God. Against God's law. Even helping someone who needed it. Jesus asks, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil...? In other words, what does God really want? A person to suffer or be healed..even on the Sabbath day? Many religious leaders at the time felt the law comes first. The person must suffer. What do you think? Think about it carefully. Then read how Jesus thought about it in Mark 3. I'm positive you can personally learn about God and his message by learning and understanding what Jesus said and how he thought. Maybe your view agrees with others, maybe not. But if you put in the thought and with the holy spirit's assistance your view will be more like Jesus. And that's what really counts.

I think when Jesus was talking about righteousness surpassing that of Pharisees - he meant it with a pinch of humor/sarcasm, and not encouraging us to see them as authority. In a way that even “hey you, to be truly righteous you would have to be even more than the self-proclaimed righteous Pharisees and scribes”.
I hope the Bible project is not going to downplay how much Jesus came to free us from the brokenness and corruption of the Pharisees and the law at the time . Jesus is saying: being like the Pharisees will not truly give you a place in the skies, you have to do much more and go much deeper.

Christ was not trying to be a comedian, and the fact that He warned against preaching to ppl about how they were free to disobey even the least important command shows it. Christ would not do what so many "Christians" would do today when it comes to using the scriptures to perform a comedy act.

This is what I don’t understand, though. Jesus says that the Torah law will last forever, but then if you read the book of Acts, you’ll see that god takes many of the Torah laws away (circumcision, ban on pork, etc). Isn’t this a huge contradiction in the Bible?

It seems to be. Maybe it was easier to understand the juxtaposition in earlier languages before it was lost in translation.
Jesus once said that the Spirit of the Law was greater than its letter, and radically changed the understood meaning of the Law at the time.
What the Law meant at a face value to us is much different than what it meant and means to Him. Reading between lines, attempting to gauge the Spirit of the Law, these things are not as they immediately seem.
And as for us, there’s at least the trampoline of the gentiles not being given the law shown in Acts.

Torah laws were not taken away but fulfilled through Jesus Christ. All the torah laws are concluded to being
1: Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all your heart, all your mind....
      2. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Whoever obeys these two laws has fulfilled them, therefore you see GOD did not put away the Torah laws but fulfilled them. It's not contradicting but crystal clear. Although you have to pray and fast to get understanding of the scriptures. Do note that God's laws are eternal, but their application can change over time. The Torah laws were given to the Israelites as a guide for living in the Promised Land. However, when Jesus Christ came, He fulfilled the Torah and established a new covenant with His followers. This new covenant does not abolish the Torah, but it does change the way that we are to live it. We are no longer bound by the ceremonial laws of the Torah, but we are still called to follow its moral and ethical teachings.
As the Israelites grew and changed, so did their understanding of God's laws. Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law, not to abolish it. The two great commandments are still relevant today, and they provide a framework for living a Christian life. I hope that answers your question.

Yes, the Old Covenant is gone. Hebrews 8 tells us that the Old Covenant was flawed and imperfect. It was time for it to pass away so that we could enter the New and better Covenant.
However, a better translation for "do away" would be "abolish" or "destroy." The Old Covenant was not some evil set of rules that held the Israelites down. It was a stepping stone that had served it's purpose and was ready to be put to rest. Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant by enacting the New.
And to this very day, not one jot nor tittle has ever been forgotten to history. The wisdom of the Law and the Prophets still blesses us today and is useful for Godly discernment. But we no longer have to abstain from pork nor must we wear only one type of fabric.

Mat 5:17 Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Mat 5:18 For truly I say to you, Till the heaven and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any way pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Therefore whoever shall relax one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of Heaven. But whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say to you that unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN(government conceived from above or not of and for man and by man)
You can’t be ruling the world or nations without taking over the government or nations can’t be saved without first saving the government from SIN.
Isa 9:6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 There is no end of the increase of His government and peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on, even forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.
The Son is the express image of the government but himself not your typical ruler on the throne yet enthrone and sovereign.
Most will have no concept of what I am talking about because they can’t see the government in “the image of god” in the written word.
Hence the call to “enter the kingdom of god” is crucial to the salvation of the world or nations.
Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.
Mat 7:24 Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
To enter into kingdom of god is to enter the “House on the rock”. The House on the rock is the government, the House of lawmakers.
What Jesus, the Son/Government, meant when he said I(the government )have come to fulfil the “laws and prophets” is another way of saying by his Government(the Son) shall the laws be satisfied or the mark of righteousness attained.
The laws or commandments are the qualifier of government or the disqualifier of government on earth.
For instance, you shall have no other gods before him.
In the temptation of Christ(the government), the devil(in your government) tempted Christ(the Son/government) to sit on the throne(pinnacle of power in the House/temple of God). Jesus declined:
Mat 4:5 Then the Devil took Him up into the holy city and set Him upon a pinnacle of the Temple.
Mat 4:6 And he said to Him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down. For it is written, "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and in their hands they shall bear You up, lest at any time You dash Your foot against a stone."
Mat 4:7 Jesus said to him, It is written again, "You shall not tempt the Lord YOUR God."
The lord in your government is either your king or elected political leader in the seat of the highest power in the land. That’s the sum of the genesis of SIN in the bible.
    Ezk 28:2 Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre. So says the Lord Jehovah: Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are a man and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of gods;
Ezk 28:16 By the multitude of your goods they have filled your midst with violence, and you have sinned. So I cast you profaned from the height of God, and I destroy you, O covering cherub, from among the stones of fire.
Ezk 28:17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you have spoiled your wisdom because of your brightness. I will cast you to the ground; I will put you before kings, that they may behold you.
Ezk 28:18 By the host of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade, you have profaned your holy places; so I brought a fire from your midst; it shall devour you, and I will give you for ashes on the earth, before the eyes of all who see you.
Ezk 28:19 All who know you among the peoples shall be astonished at you; you shall be terrors, and you will not be forever.
America is on the course of destruction due to all the false prophets dictating your land and government.
They are clueless who Christ really is because they saw an Idol instead of “the government of god” on earth. Without knowing Christ, the government, you can’t build the “house on the rock”.
You are headed towards destruction as a nation, together with those whom you influenced.

They were deceiving people and themselves by appearing righteous outwardly but being wicked in the heart. This is why Christ calls them hypocrites and says they forsake commandments of God for the tradition of men. He then goes on to talk about storing treasure in heaven because the Pharisees were storing treasure on earth. The Pharisees were FAR from righteous.

Hi! Our scholar team created a new translation specifically for this section of Scripture. They began by translating the original Greek text and then comparing it with how other trustworthy biblical translation teams chose to approach certain words and phrases.
Their translation aims to preserve the literary design when identical words and repeated phrases appear in the Greek text by making them repeat similarly in English, no matter how often a word or phrase is used. They also try to use words and phrases that convey the same meaning but give new vitality to passages that have become overly familiarized. Some words may sound strange, but these translation choices are a more literal rendering of the Greek text into English.

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Everything that is written about me (Jesus) must be fulfilled, in the Law of Moses and in that of the prophets and psalms. Psalms is not a book of laws, there are things in the book of Psalms that must be fulfilled through Christ.

These are the laws that Christ must fulfill and not the laws intended for sinners.

    The Fulfillment of the Law
Matthew 5:18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
    Jesus puts 2 conditions:
    - until heaven and earth disappear; and
    - until everything is accomplished.
The Law will remain in effect.
These conditions are eventually satisfied in:
    - Revelation 21:1 - Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, ”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and
    - Revelation 20:10 - the beast, Satan and the false prophet have been thrown into the lake of fire.
Jesus is mentioning this to point out the high standards of Law and the requirement to comply with all of them and nothing will change till the end.
Revelation 11:15 - The Seventh Trumpet
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.”
The world becomes the kingdom of Jesus the messiah and he can have his own rules. God’s salvation plan. Matthew 11:30 Jesus said “for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
To whom the world was previously entrusted?
Probably Satan, which is why he could challenge God’s view about Job. God as the creator had ultimate sovereignty which is also why He could still ask Satan to make sure that he does not kill Job.
Moreover, in the very next chapter, Revelation 12, war broke out in heaven and Revelation 11:15 could have triggered this.

Why did God set the bar so high that no one will 'pass' the Law?
The satan (the dragon) is an angel turned rogue like Lucifer (the beast) and a hypocrite. For example, Job was a good servant and God liked him and because of that the satan hated him and used his authority to try to make Job curse God. Satan uses the same tactics nowadays which is why many Christians might find their lives being turned upside down as in the case of Job.
Satan would instead put his people in more favourable situations to make them pass the Law (and if made less stringent). So, God made the Law impossible to pass by any regular human being. Once Jesus is made the messiah and after everything is accomplished then he can select his people and allow them entry. As such, the devil plan is thwarted.

We understand that when Jesus says He came to fulfill the Law, He was speaking not as one who would outwardly obey an external code of rules, laws, and regulations.
No. That was obviously not what He meant.
Rather, we understand that when Jesus says He came to fulfill the Law that He was the One who embodied the fulfillment of the Law as part of His inner being.
Jesus did not follow an externally written code.
Jesus was the living embodiment of that code.
So, everything we read about Jesus doing was representative of the fulfillment of those codes because He was the One who embodied the Law.
Jesus was the only One who so fullfilled the Law in that way...
To the present time, men strive to follow the Law as if it were an external code to follow.
But, we as Christians strive not to follow the written code but rather we strive to be led by the Spirit of our Lord Jesus who we say lives in us.
Therefore, so long as the Spirit of Jesus remains in us we are free from the written code, that is the Law.
Otherwise, we are still under that Law. If we remain under the Law, that is being led by an external code, then we know that leads to death.
But, thanks be to Jesus for He has given us His Spirit, if that Spirit is in you.
So we are no longer under the external code but rather led by His Spirit.
Therefore, we know that we have passed from being dead to being alive even while we still live in this world...

As a new Christian I struggle with 5:17-19. He says I didn’t come to abolish but fulfill (and we know this references the Torah and it’s 613 laws) and in 19 He tells us he who teaches these will be greater in heaven yet he who teaches against these will be least in heaven. Now this indicates that salvation isn’t effected but status? In Heaven will be? So how are we to deal with this. 19 seems to be danced around in the western church. This video doesn’t really address 19 either. I have a group of friends who do attempt Torah compliance but folks who do this are called Judizers (?sp) by the western church.

Most Torah peoples are representing it incorrectly,
They still define it as "Law when dealing with christans.
Christans are "technically" right, law is no more, no temple to inforce here in earth.
      But
TORAH is the HEART! That Father has always wanted for US, His Peoples!
Torah of Heart Is the Goal.

The law stands as long as heaven and earth remain. Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commands". The law of Moses is the law of Christ. Keep the Sabbaths, dietary laws and festivals. You will be blessed if you do. The Holy Spirit teaches us to walk in his laws. This is the new covenant. Ezekiel 36:27.

One key point that most Christians aren't aware of is that Jews and Gentiles have different obligations to the Torah. The Torah itself makes a lot of these distinctions. There are also commandments specifically for Levites, for priests, for kings, etc. No one person is obligated to all 613 commandments, even a Jew. If you're a Gentile, you should be focusing on the universal moral commandments and the four prohibitions given by the Jerusalem council in Acts 15 that are specifically for Gentiles. Beyond that, I have found immense blessing in participating in the festivals as well, although not as an obligation.

@@shaneengel9943 The moral commandments are those widely recognized by Judaism as the "Noahide" laws that apply to all of humanity. You can look them up, but they include things like do not murder, do not steal, establish courts of justice, do not commit idolatry. Basically the things that Christians generally teach already.
I think that it's great for Gentiles to observe more of the Torah, such as observing the Sabbath and festivals to some degree. However, I would disagree with your friends who believe it's a sin for Gentiles not to keep commandments that are given to the Jewish people. There was a whole big debate in the early believing community about where Gentiles fit into the picture, and what our obligations are. They decided in Acts 15 that Gentiles shouldn't be forced to become legally Jewish, and that they shouldn't be obligated to the whole Torah as the Jewish people are. They gave four prohibitions which you can read there for yourself. This is a huge topic -- sorry for the long comment!

Heaven is a euphemism for God. "Thank heavens" doesn't mean thank the skies, it means thank God.
"fill it full" implies something isn't full, whatever that might mean to the listener. A better word would be "I came to perform/keep the law". If your mom asks "did you fulfil my instructions" she doesn't mean did you "fill them full", she mean did you DO them.

I have come to see that what Jesus spoke about not one jot or tittle not passing away until all be fulfilled and heaven and earth pass away, as the end of the age in 70 AD when Jerusalem and in particular the temple (heaven and earth in the mind of the first century Jew). This was the end of the system of law. Heaven and earth is a metaphor of the temple. What Hebrews described as the old passing away and the new coming in, was completed when the temple was destroyed.
The law no longer applied and the new covenant of grace was in place.
Any consequence of the law no longer applies to humanity because humanity died, was judged, and was resurrected as a brand new species in and with Christ. The new heaven and new earth are now in place in the unseen realm and are inhabited by a reborn humanity. Quite amazing.

    • @carrieyael2205
      @carrieyael2205 Месяц назад

That's an interesting theory, but I'm afraid it isn't accurate, my friend. "Heaven and earth" is a reference to Deuteronomy 30:19, where Moses has just reiterated the Torah before the Israelites enter the land, and he says, "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live." He is reminding them that heaven and earth stand as *eternal* witnesses to the *eternal* Sinai covenant between God and Israel. When the First Temple was destroyed in 586 BC, the Israelites did NOT take that to mean that the Torah was therefore obsolete. Nothing can nullify the Sinai covenant until heaven and earth actually pass away -- and they obviously haven't passed away yet.
The New Covenant terms are clearly laid out in Jeremiah 31:31 and following. Note the terminology in verse 33: "I will put my Torah within them, and I will write it on their hearts." Instead of nullifying the Torah, God promises to write the Torah on our hearts, making it part of us and enabling us to keep it perfectly. The reason we don't see that as a reality is that we haven't yet entered the New Covenant era in its entirety (see verse 34 for evidence).
That being said, Jews and Gentiles do have distinctly different obligations to the Torah. But to find out your own role requires further Torah study. Take heart, my friend, because once the New Covenant is completely fulfilled, we are going to see some incredible changes to this world. Our God is a big God, and eventually, the whole world will see it. THEN every knee will bow!

@@christianchaidez I have studied this more than you think, brother. Paul's epistles are widely misunderstood, as even Peter points out: "There are some things in them [Paul's letters] that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures" (2 Peter 3:16). If Scripture warns that other Scripture is hard to understand, then we should probably not assume that we do in fact understand it properly. Jesus's words in Matthew 5:17-19, on the other hand, are very straightforward. I don't think Paul contradicted Jesus, but if he did, then I will take Jesus's word over Paul's.
Hebrews is also widely misunderstood thanks to bias from our English translators and our own tendency to read everything through the blurry lens of Christian supersessionism.
This is too big of a topic to fully address in YT comments, but I would encourage you to carefully ponder the passage in Acts 21:20-26, paying close attention to the distinctions made between Jews and Gentiles here. Here we see that the multitude of Jewish believers are zealous for the Torah. James tells Paul that there are rumors about him teaching Jews to forsake the Torah (the rumors probably stem from Paul's teaching to Gentiles, not to Jews). James knows that the rumors are false and provides a plan for Paul to prove them false by paying for several men to complete their nazirite vows in the Temple (a process which requires several animal sacrifices!). Paul does not object, but goes along with the plan. Interestingly, this passage also includes the four prohibitions for Gentiles, in contrast to the expectation for Jews (which was to keep the whole Torah).
If the old covenant is already obsolete, then why did Paul uphold it here? I'm not one to accuse Paul of being a liar, so I will assume his conduct here is sincere!

@@bradharford6052 One of the key promises of the New Covenant is "No longer will each man teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' but they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest" (Jeremiah 31:34). If the New Covenant is already in full force, then why do we still have Bible teachers to teach us to know the Lord?
Moreover, Paul said that "the law, which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void" (Galatians 3:17). He also says, "even with a man-made covenant, no one annuls it or adds to it once it has been ratified" (Gal 3:15). If the newer Sinai covenant could not annul the older Abrahamic covenant, then why would we think that the New covenant can annul the Sinai covenant?
And when God gave the Torah, He made several ceremonial laws that He referred to as a "statute forever throughout your generations" (Ex. 12:14, Ex. 27:21, Ex. 28:43, Lev. 3:17, Lev. 16:29, Lev. 23:14, plus many more examples). Was God being dishonest when He said that these statutes are forever?
