That "blue blazer black" scene was actually a blooper, but because they didn't stop acting prod team decided to keep it in like this 😅in Rachel and Monica's next lines they were just teasing him for this mistake
Its a great blooper to keep in. It would be a whatever scene without the blooper but it got so fun. The childish "your stupid" from monica breaks me

Remembering this line made it hard to take the actor seriously for his role in Avatar lol.
Fun fact they made Phoebe pregnant in show because the actress actually was pregnant and they didn’t want to try to hide the pregnancy. The fact Monica taught Chandler how to please a woman.
The quiz is one of my favorite episodes of this show. Monica’s guttural scream gives me life.
Monica''s competitive nature is probably my favorite running gag in the entire show. It is also funny how she wasn't even wrong. Outside of the final question that noone knew, Rachel got all the questions wrong that they missed.

What Chandlers actual does for a job is data reconfiguration and analysis he is a data processor. I have officially seen friends too many times.

Something I never thought about was that for the quiz, Everybody is always surprized that they know so much about eachother but Ross knows all of them the best by far (at least as far as we know) because he was able to come up with the questions and correct answers for both sides.
which makes sense. Monica is his sister, he used to be obsessed with Rachel and dated her, and Chandler used to be his roommate in college. And the questions he came up with for Joey were all easily guessed.

Monica’s apartment belonged to her grandmother (and was still in her name) and was rent controlled, so even though it’s much bigger, it was probably actually cheaper than the guys’ apartment lol
Plus with them switching they wouldn’t necessarily tell the landlord that they did, especially with Monica not telling them that she was there in the first place
Lisa(Phoebe) was pregnant in real life so they wrote it in.
One of the best TV pregnancies imo. They could have gone with the "accidental baby" or "whirlwind romance" like I feel most shows would. But they made this into a hilarious, selfless and endearing storyline for Phoebe. Totally in character too.
Edit: Absolutely loved how they kept her in the show too even in the later stages of pregnancy. Don't want to spoil anything yet though.
The “blue blazer BLACK” was an actual mistake by Matthew Perry, the others mocking him wasn’t scripted either, that’s why he was so uncomfortable when they did it.

So Lisa Kudrow was actually pregnant, so they wrote the surrogate storyline because of it. Also, the "blue blazer black" was a blooper, but they just kept going. I love that they kept it though😂

When Phoebe tells Frank and Alice she's willing to carry their baby, Alice's reaction gets me every time.
The quiz was a very smart and funny way to get to know details about the characters we wouldn't know about. Transponster and Miss Chanandler Bong are two things that every fan of the show knows for sure.
Just two memorable episodes.
It still gets me fuming that Courteney was never nominated for an Emmy. She should have won one for the "two-four-six" line alone.

The quiz is the most iconic part of the entire season, if not the show. But I love Joey doing lunges in chandler's underwear the most.
I always think the thing to remember with pregnancies / children in Friends is how old they would be now. For example the oldest child of this gang, Ben (Ross and Carol's son) was born in May 1995. So Ben's coming up for his 29th birthday .... On the show when Phoebe is pregnant (i.e. now) it's 1998.
I've watched the apartment bet episode a million times...and I never realized, Ross knows everyone best, he came up with the questions! 🤯❤️🎬👍
Remember me telling you season 4 is the best, thie apartment episode is one of the reasons why. All the episodes in this season are excellent.

More than 20 years of watching reruns of this show since it aired, I still don't know what Chandler Bing does for a living 😂
He does statistical analysis and data reconfiguration for a large multinational corporation 😜 That's from series 1 episode 15, the one with the stoned guy. Chandler does 8 and half hours of aptitude tests, intelligence tests, and personality tests to discover this. He hasn't switched jobs in the time between then and this episode, so it stands to reason that that is what he still does.

Phoebe becoming a surrogate mother for her brother and sister-in-law is one of the best narratives. I'm so glad you're at this point in the series.
The surrogacy storyline was to incorporate Lisa Kudrow's real life pregnancy in the show. At the time of filming this episode she was 4 months pregnant. Today her son Julian is 25!
Matthew Perry messed up by saying "blue blazer black" instead of "blue blazer back" and the rest of the cast's responses were so funny that they left it in. Also, it's crazy to watch this now because then Trump was just a known businessman who owned a bunch of hotels.
According to Google, Monica's 7 erogenous zones are 1. Ears 2. Lips 3. Neck 4. Breasts 5. Butt 6. Inner thighs and 7. Vagina.
Chandler's official job description is "statistical analysis and data reconfiguration". What that actually means is another question altogether.
They re-did the test scene during the anniversary special (which I definitely recommend after finishing the series) by incorporating questions regarding the show.

Haha. Appreciate the joke. What he actually does then will be a lot of spreadsheets, analysing the companies numbers, presenting that data in a comprehensible way to the company as graphs etc., and working out the best ways to shift those numbers around for better outcomes. And twiddling his thumbs :-)

Ou yeah! The One With The Embryos, probably the funniest episode of Friends and one of my Top 3 episodes.
Everything here works, from the silliness of a game for money suddenly changed into somethin bigger that switches the dynamics of the apartments, to the sudden news that Phoebe is pregnant. A comedy classic
Rachels not so subtle foot fetish in the seven scene is hilarious. "I saw it upside down" " sometimes that works too"

One of my favorite Friends episodes ever. I go from laughing hysterically (the antics of the game) to getting teary (Phoebe's going to have a baby!) to laughing hysterically again (Phoebe's brother shouting, "MY SISTER'S GONNA HAVE MY BABYYYYYYY!") Dying laughing.
And I love how into the game Ross gets. That would have been me. Totally taking it way too seriously and pausing for dramatic effect. 🤣 "THE LIGHTNING ROUNNNNNNND!" 😆⚡

That’s one of my favorite episodes! Throughout he series, there’s been a play on “no one knows what Chandler’s job is”? I’ve been at the same company for 39 years in finance and none of my friends or family could possibly tell you what I do either! And when the boys ride in on the dog - just brings me joy😁
I think this was such a clever way to get around Lisa Kudrow being pregnant in real life because they knew it didn't fit Phoebe's character to have a baby here.

“That’s not even a wooord!” I use that line all the time. And yes, they stay switched. The team decided it needed real stakes. The audience would figure it’s just a gag and they wouldn’t really switch. So they made it stick. And it makes this episode even better.

My grandfather was a tour guide at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. It's actually quite difficult and rigorous. You have to pass exams and give fake tours to other guides (including responding to random questions from them) before you can give tours to visitors.
_The One with the Embryos_ is definitely TOW the trivia quiz in everyone's minds. One of the most iconic episodes. So much so that they revisited the idea in the 2021 Reunion.
I'm sure many male and female FRIENDS viewers put Monica's tutorial to practice and thanked her for it.

These two episodes are among the funniest in the entire show"s run in my opinion. The moment at the end of the last one where Chandler's girlfriend comes running in saying "thank you! thank you!", and of course the little sex ed training thing are awesome and hysterical and become important later, and the whole Jeopardy style game they were having over the room is hysterical. Everybody's acting was absolutely insane in these last two.
Episode 12 is my favorite friends episode ever! It's so funny and I can quote it so well. I love it!

I'm glad the people in Phoebe's life were much more hesitant and were able to at least try to temper her expectations about being a surrogate. At least giving her the puppy for three days made Phoebe sleep on the decision. I love Phoebe but I would've been really worried if she jumped headlong into it without finding relevant opinions and doing other research.
