Pale skin, dark circles underneath the eyes, emaciated features, androgyny and stringy hair. Any girl i was in school were going for a any kind of fusion, Punk, hippy, leather and 50's bubblegum between that look. It was really identity and so personal. I went from Death and Trash Metal to The Doors and then Grunge. Not that much thought. I see PJ Harvey, Björk and Kathleen Hanna from Bikini Kill had so much influence, at the time. The meaning of a groupie is somehow more like a Gold-digger or Some girls that go between bands or circles, sleeps with some of them like that's the currency. That is not true, but that is the image that pops up in my mind. That's how they were talked about and commonly it was looked down on.
