This is the first time in my many years of listening to podcasts that I went on YT to do it. The product demo is a fun idea and made me change my behavior!
I’ve been amazed using Replit! I think this is where the skills of a Product Manager can really shine. We are experienced with describing the scenarios we want to build and can identify where the product can be improved. It’s been so fun to experiment!
I think it solves the 'this is the requirement' --> 'we built to that requirement here it is' --> 'checks it out' --> "Sorry, I gave you the wrong requirement, here's the new one' cycle...When I as a product owner can prototype something, it shortens the cycle! (even if i hand off the code to professionals to build a solid product)
Lenny, thanks so much for exploring the idea of product demos on the podcast and especially for doing it with Replit; I was literally looking into Replit two days ago and wanted to see what the Agent could do but it is pay-walled to even use once, but this episode has helped me see the value of the agent and is encouraging me to upgrade my account to use it!
Saying everyone should just 'jump in' and code feels disrespectful to developers who’ve spent years mastering their craft. You wouldn’t tell someone to just ‘jump in’ and start doing dentistry,
You can label it a bubble and bury your head or acknowledge this is actually happening today and learn how to use it for your needs. If you are a developer already you have the biggest advantage out of all of us

He looks like a friendly stone cold steve austin
I'm building right now
I don't like how they force you to sign up before you can even see an example of apps you can make using their tool.

You're resisting the shift. People who sold fuel and coal said this same thing when light bulbs and hydro electricity came up
while waiting for this bubble to burst, i will enjoy my fuel , drill baby drill
