The High schools use to have there proms in the ballroom. You felt so special when you entered the lobby.

My grandparents had their 50th wedding anniversary at the Hotel Frederick in May 1973. It was quite a celebration. My uncle was a classmate at Huntington High of George H. Wright, Jr., son of the founder. If I had a nickel every time I passed by the Hotel Frederick, I would be rich.

Amazing video. I was a draftsman for Gaddy Engineering in about 1969. Mr Frank Gaddy was kind enough to give me a going away party in the Elephant Room. There were 6 of us in the company at that time, the office was in the First Huntington National Bank building across the street. We could look down on the Frederick Hotel. I have a picture of all of us from that day. Sadly they have all passed away but me. A memory! Thank you for this video.
