    That was a DAMN fine description of loss in Eve and life!!! I salute you! I was talking to a friend about it, and explaining that loss keeps the eccomomy going, but I've sent him this video because your explanation was SO much better. He was pissed off because, as he said, he spends all this time making something, and some looser sits at a gate and takes It away, and they are parasites, etc. I hope your video helps him because no matter how hard i explained, he seemed to stay upset. Great video man this series is great! Hell, I've been doing exploration since i started the game, and i love your explanation of scanning, i learned it as just go to the furthest one from where you first scanned that was so cool!

    Great thoughts, and a really top notch explanation of scanning. A few more quick tips from an old scanner: anomalies are [almost] always within 4AU of a planet or other astronomical object, so you can cut out a lot of time scanning space where the thing is highly unlikely to be. I can't remember the last time I scanned at 32AU - usually 8 is plenty to cover the area where an anom is hiding, once you get a feel for it all. Practice practice practice. In dangerous space (especially wormhole space) if you can't cloak, launch your probes and then move to a different safe spot to do your scanning. An adept D scanner will know where you were when you launched them.

      yeah with decent skills you can almost always just start at 4AU on a celestial that seems closest, then go directly to 1au then .25au if needed.

    Been following this series and aside from being hooked, I have to say….superb editing. I know editing is time not seen within the videos, and therefore not normally commented on, but it’s not wasted on this viewer. 10/10

    I had an idea on how you could obtain a mining barge blueprint. Simply find a commonly used ORE station that people buy BPOs from, than figure out which gate they usually travel through after getting their BPO, and camp the gate with a smartbombing slasher or catalyst, smartbomb any shuttle as it lands on the gate and hopefully they drop a BPO. You want a small ship fitted with Inertial Stabs in case something combat capable comes through the gate, and maybe sit 40km off the gate but along the warp in path so that someone travelling can't just lock and point you. This could also score you a Venture BPO

      @tesciu00 9 месяцев назад +1

      Gate guns in lowsec will kill you. In highsec you need looter alt to perform that. But i have an interesting twist on that. It could be interesting to set a goal to convince a random person to buy it for you, and deliver it to you. Negotiations, setting terms, anxiety if that person will not run with your money.

    • @specs.weedle
      @specs.weedle 9 месяцев назад +2

      pretty sure that’s not allowed because telling other players to buy specific things for you is a pretty obvious loophole of the “no buying from/selling to player market orders” rule

      @@tesciu00 ORE Stations are in null so no worries there, can't convince someone else to buy it though, that's cheating, and if he had the ISK for that he could just straight buy it from the npcs himself. The whole point of this idea is not having to spend a billion ISK on a barge BPO

    Quick comment about bookmarks, saving a site (combat, relic, data) is totally fine, for wormholes however it's always best to save the location of the wormhole on grid and not from the scanning UI as the latter is just within 5km of the actual hole.

    2 Scanning tips:
    - The D-Scan window can be set to always be on top, making it easier to watch. I usually hit V then B every time I can, to refresh DScan.
    Also, double-clicking in empty space (not on a celestial or anomaly) rotates your view 90°. This swaps you from one plane to another MUCH faster. I usually scan by centering on one plane, double clicking to rotate, then re-centering on the other plane. V key to D-Scan then B to Re-analyze. 😁
    Those are the default keys, BTW - nothing to set up.

    • @Zurfy

      Can confirm. Double clicking is the way to go.

    Absolutely thrilled to see more of these series. They are just mesmerising - it's like the early days of playing Eve (at least that's what I imagine it was).
    A little scanning pro tip: you can go down by 2 nodges inbetween scans. The only time I don't go 2 nodges down is when it gives me a sphere - haven't figured that one out yet. BUT due to your explanation of scanner probes mechanics, I think I'll figure it out soon enough. Great job man!

    Can't you get the morphite from reprocessing modules?

    • @tabarnoucheinterplanetary
      @tabarnoucheinterplanetary  9 месяцев назад +1

      Only by reprocessing modules that have morphite in their build cost, which basically all T2 modules do, but virtually no T1 modules (in fact, I thought it was literally no T1 modules until just here when I looked at the Scan Rangefinding Array blueprint).
      So, I think I'll only be able to get morphite from reprocessing if I manage to loot some T2 modules from PVP.
