Epic soundtrack at the beginning before the game starts..Some piano chords remind me of Trent Reznnor from Nine Inch Nails. I have loaded Amiga games into my disk drive to simply hear the music when i was young.
4:35 : Level 1: Circuit Board/Machinery themed World, Silkworm end-stage style. Difficulty: A Breeze. 7:03 : Level 2 : Dark and Damp Outdoor world w/ icky lifeforms. Difficulty: Easy. 10:23 : Level 3: Coloured Crystal World w/ Lethal Jellyfish. Difficulty: It's getting tricky. 13:07 : Level 4: Outdoor Sunset Lazer Volcano World starring Jean Michel Jarre on Amphetamine. Difficulty: Refrishingly Simple Old-style Shooter Thats Really Not Difficult. 15:29: Level 5: Dull Grey Alien (tm) semi-submerged World w/ Nasty Alien Lifeforms that your parents said didn't exist! Difficulty: Difficult and scary. 17:38: Level 6: Fly-around Space Fortress End Level That's A Bit Too Much Like UN Squadron End Level, Only With Level 5 Aliens instead... Difficulty: Tricky and unimaginative.
I don’t agree. X-Out has some iconic Amiga music - just not enough different tunes as they repeat. Both games are tragically overlooked when your talk about Amiga shooters. Rainbow Arts did other things besides Turrican! 😊
This thing sounds awesome! Thanks for making this, Z-Out was my favourite Amiga-game back in the days, still something I find myself playing now and then ^^
hello! Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of artwork. If I may suggest - could you try to join stereo by 25 or 33% so channels would not be totally splitted, listening this on headphones would be more pleasing ;-)
+Martin Incognito I started this channel by using simple stereo-join effect on my uploads. For personal listening it was actually stereo-join AND Meier Audio's crossfeed effect from Corda Arietta/Jazz, which resulted in pretty ok sound. Dolby Headphone came later. It's an acquired taste i guess (and some people never get the taste ;) As to adding stereo-join on top of Dolby? I tried both 25% and 33% and i didn't like it. The beauty of Dolby for me was the fact that it kept the "wide" stereo image intact, but took away the nasty-for-headphones absolute hard left and right stereo image of original Amiga sound.
I have to admit that I can't see the similarity you mentioned. But thanks anyway for pointing out the song, which i didn't know until now. It really is a pearl that is unjustly unknown.

One of the most underrated scores, ever.
This is true art.
Only a Master like Chris Huelsbeck could did it.
I love how all the level themes blend seamlessly into their corresponding boss themes like it's some kind of prog rock thing

What a nice description Good Job ;)
Thanks vegeta
My fave of all the stages was the music from 13m07s. fantastic to hear it all again.
Cracking wee tune
This was so slick. I loved all of it. Made up for the disappointing flat sound of the X-Out/R-Type ingame tunes.

Rainbow Arts did other things besides Turrican! 😊
I totally agree... X-Out has one of the most epic intro tunes ever created for the Amiga.
Great game, great soundtrack & great job, thanx!
Lvl 1 n 5 still in my head ... Great !!!
10.23 the best IMO
Absolutely

@@galy0 Thank you :)
7:03 just kicks butt!
WOOOOW... How the heck did you do this????
With a Capture Card
Main theme sounds very similar to Axelay, which came 2 years after this.
Also, best drums ever in chip sound history.
❤
Bluetooth-headphone-voice: "volume max"
so where is a real ost with all gr8 stuff of legend rudolf stember?
I know the in game music is composed by rodulph semper but this could easily be a turrican soundtrack wourthy of the mighty Chris huelsbeck

+Kuokka77 I see, thanks for explanation! Keep up good work! If I may ask for soundtrack ^ ^Perihelion :-)
what is the source audio ? VGM ? system itself ? rip from PC, mp3 found on the web ?
i m curious n_n
This is an older upload, so the source is a wave write from PC DeliPlayer using TFMX Pro files from the UnExotica collection.
@@Kuokka77 merci, i will grab these stuff & rip it for myself
Level 3 tune (10:30) heavily influenced this song Trance song from 1994, it is pretty much the same riff.
