I first saw WoD at an Amiga Expo in Cologne, back in 1990 (I think). I was about eleven and the first thing that came to my young mind when I saw the title screen was: "That fire looks an awful lot like a scrotum." And it's still true today.

Depends on the definition of 'soundtrack' IMHO. I see it vice versa: While the Turrican 2 soundtrack will always remain my number one, WoD is a close number two. But by 'soundtrack' I usually mean main 'intro song', just like in Turrican II, which clearly is unbelievable piece of art. But seen over the whole game,. including all songs, I would prefer WoD, because really ALL songs have that great upbeat euphoric feeling to them, while in Turrican II some songs (especially in the later levels) are just too 'evil and dark' for being fun :)
Yeah, when people say 8bit music the mean 8bit computers or consoles, while these devices' sound capabilities usually aren't playing 8bit samples xD So, in the correct context and taxonomy: Amiga music is 16bit sound.
Until now I thought the Atari ST(E) Version of the title melody is better, but with that mix, Amiga is on the top position! Great work - Well Done! Really enjoyed it!
