Give me a shop like this here in Texas. After struggling for the past 30-ish years, my family is finally not poor-poor, but we still like to save money and love instant noodles. As a teenager I would make broke boy Korean Army Stew. Would take some green onions, some spam cut thin and fried, little bit of Kraft processed cheese and some fried egg, take four bags of chicken flavored ramen, make it in a big pot, mix all the ingredients together with the MSG packet. Tah-dah. Delicious, filling meal that feeds everybody for cheap and is so good you can even chug the broth and be happy.

American eggs are different to other places in the world and you are more likely to get sick eating raw eggs in America. In many places, the eggs aren’t washed, which means they can carry some dirt and feathers, but it also means it still has the outer layer of the egg that protects against bacteria, like salmonella, entering. American eggs are washed which also removes their protective layer. This is why American eggs need to be stored in the fridge too.
We have one of those shops here in Dallas. It will cost you over $15 if you order what he ordered because the ramen packet is around $5 and each toppings are $1-3. All the ramen packets they sell can be found at H-mart or 99 Ranch which is a couple of miles away from the store.
There’s a summer camp for Korean-American adoptees (And now their siblings or children) that I went to as a kid. They sold tons of Korean snacks, and we used Milkis as a bargaining tool, like a bribe or trade good.
This is very common in Asia (not all Asia of course). Convenient stores often have seating for customers. People often have quick microwave reheat meal here.
