Has anybody heard one word of gratitude from any of these people who have been told by some of our politicians that it's OK to come and freeload in the USA for as long as they want, and that all they need is to learn how to milk "the system" for everything it's worth? [You are "the system."]
Now why am I, a lifelong resident of this town, still on the S8 wait list along with so many others, but these people get to bypass it? Also, why did it take these people coming here for our town to build brand new apartments while other citizens live at Perryman and the other slums?
What does our good government, "worrying about our own", mean to you? Because under our new dictatorship, our good government is taking care of the American people like children as parents who can't stand their own kids. It took the toys (free enterprise) and gave them to communism in china, and dumbed down our kids where many can't even count change in upper grade school. Now-----we need to be taken care of. What exactly are you begging for? Because with individual liberty protected by law, (that we used to have), and a free enterprise system in our hands (that we used to have because we created it with individual liberty), we sure did a lot better than any poverty the baby sitters promise us.

why do descant hardworking people who want to migrate to another country (legally) - have to jump though all the technical, costly immigration hoops when you can simply just illegally cross a border and seek asylum??

We have thousands of Mainers who can't find affordable rentals... I'm not knock immigration as my great grandparents were immigrants... but they are getting FREE Rent for 2 years!! I just got a $60 increase in my Soc. Sec. and then the State reduced my Food Stamp by $30 dollars... LMFAO... Vote Democrat and this is what you get...
My daughter and I need one of these apartments! We are both seriously physically disabled and share a 1 bedroom 600 sq. ft. apt. and it is too small and not handicapped accessible in Brunswick. Why won't the State Of Maine help us too??!! HELP US!!!
