    Lovely integrated product. A small ticket printer now would put the icing on the cake.

    In the age of overzealous DOT laws/enforcement, this option on loaders and hoes is a great thing. Additionally, would be very handy if loading material from a site dig to sell elsewhere.

    I don't know if the other manufacturers are doing stuff like this but Cat definitely seems like they are paying attention to make everyone's life better and way more efficient.

    Are we going to ignore the fact that he needed 2.9T and on the first scoop he had exactly that? Impressive sir!!

    When I was in law school during the summer I would work at Caterpillar in Montgomery Illinois in building K bending hydraulic tubes for the excavators and wheel loaders. I had no idea that there was a way of seeing how much you were lifting in every scoop

    Pretty simple concept to install into a machine now, just takes an active pressure sensor and a couple program algorithms to make it work

    Tom how do you reset the load count..ive been in Nd out of every setting

  • @pushnpow
    @pushnpow 5 лет назад +1

    How have you found the payload system with actual production loading? I have had 2 brand new 323 next gens and both had issues where in a fast cycle working back a bench, they system would come up with “bucket tilt error” which I’m pretty sure was because we run tilt hitches on ours (wrists I think you call them up north) and the system doesn’t like the hitches. Is it less temperamental with just the static hitch setup?

    • @GameVilleofficialpage
      @GameVilleofficialpage 5 лет назад

      I would imagine it would be, as if the machine is level and the bucket isn’t it probably gets confused because it doesn’t register the tilt hitch for what it is and just sees it as some sort of auxiliary attachment, so it might either think you’re on a hills that’s steeper than it should be or that your bucket isn’t properly connected- I don’t know the machines too well but I am a little familiar with computers like those.

      We just had this machine on rental for a week. We didnt get to do any production loading

    • @pushnpow
      @pushnpow 5 лет назад

      Game Ville ours had 3d GPS as well, so had a bucket sensor hooked up to the on board grade control system to tell the machine where the bucket was tilted. It has a handy display for bucket angle too so it definitely knew where the bucket was, it just didn’t seem to gel with the payload system. No doubt in future software updates they’ll sort it

    Is the bucket load measurement independent of arm angle? If I'm digging straight down deep or on the other hand was dredging a pond with the arm extended out would it still be accurate?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  5 лет назад +1

      Yes it doesnt matter what the angle is as long as you make that scooping motion that I did as well as a quarter turn of the turn table.

    Do you think it would be good to also register in cubic yards? Might give production numbers.

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  5 лет назад

      No, I dont know how it would do yards. I think that would be a visual thing. I guess if you knew the weight of the material per yard you could do the math your self since it keeps track of the weight.

      @@DirtNinja Did you ever get or look at a Caterpillar Performance Handbook? I have the 40th edition. I don't think they print it anymore. It has the different weights per cubic yard.
