Some jobs are large enough that they exhaust the available experienced drivers and need to teach lots of new drivers, common folk that have probably never operated a loader before. Also experienced workers cost more so it might not be worth it. It wouldn't take long for most newcomers to become competent when the job is so repetitive

Seem to have taken quite a bit away from the operator. sStalling in the bank is easy to prevent by using the impeller clutch. If the boom stalls in the bank, light pressure on the impeller clutch will allow the loader to stop driving forward and even retract from the face so the boom can then lift up the bank. Tire planting is also easy as stated just lift up on the boom as the teeth enter the pile. Tires are then planted to prevent slip.. Stick steer has finally been upgraded, looks alot like the 980 style joystick which is also electronic. The older stick steer was sluggish and had no relation to frame angle. WA8-900 twins have had the corresponding joystick to frame angle match for a number of yrs.As for the auto dig function, I like to know what the front end is doing at all times so that's not something I'd ever use. One thing I do Not like about the Cat loaders is how the attachment levers go into detent without the lever actually detenting. Easy to have one detent in and not even notice if your looking out the side window or in a mirror. All in all a great number of improvements but still hate to see operator involvement being reduced.
It would have been nice if Caterpillar had replaced the 994K with the 994.Like the D11T2 was replaced by the D11.Pushed the 995 up to compete with the Komatsu WE1850.I se no sense in no model between the 993K & the 995.Only call the 994 New Generation like Caterpillar is doing with all their new introductions

There's not a huge difference. Kinda like the difference between the 16 grader and the 18.. I dunno why cay didn't try to make the 995 a fair bit bigger.. more in line with loading the 320 sized trucks

I’ve been waiting to see a cat d12 there’s the 798 dump truck and now this 995 frontend loader I’m wondering when we gonna see a d12 bulldozer

is this machine replacing the 994? what is the difference between them? no front pump drive? i thought the newer 994 already removed that.
