he lost to a olimar player forgot the persons name, seems to be a good counter to ness since he can't use his pk'fire (side b) to imitate big ground combos. The pikmons get in the way if you throw them out frequently
Michael Powell ahh.. dang that’s right lol. Olimar top tier cuz of that. That’s funny but I am just kidding about Awestin losing .. of course he’s gonna lose every now and again but damn he is good.
Dash dance is to throw your opponent off by running back and forth very quickly. It's like when football players do that mini shuffle before they run into a specific direction, the rapid movement keeps the opposing player on edge and prevents them from predicting more on where they'll go. Teching is when you hit the ground or wall and if you press shield fast enough you'll jump right back up. If your opponent doesnt tech it's real easy for you to punish them for not responding quickly enough.
Dawnime i first thought it was because he came to ultimate from sm4sh (even though he played pm as well), but if i'm not mistaken, sethlon does dash dance and he also came from sm4sh (although he was a much more active pm player than awestin). But it got me wondering
I think it's the character. The speed and distance of Ness's dashdance makes it just a worse option than keeping his huge hitboxes out, especially since his aerials are much better neutral tools than his ground moves. Roy, on the other hand, has like the second best dash dance in the game, and has strong grounded neutral options.
@@NoshuHyena That's a good point, I didn't consider it was related to the character. I thought it was more linked to each player's background 'cause I noticed the melee players I saw playing smush were all dash dancing.
@@mrpinguimninja Here's the thing. Both Sethlon and Awestin played Melee, PM, and S4. Foxtrot pivoting isn't as good as dash dancing by any stretch. The mixups with dash dancing open up a lot of options, but foxtrot pivoting doesn't really open up a lot of mixup options. (Foxtrot pivoting is what Ultimate's dashdancing basically is. Dashdancing is in Melee & PM.)
It was only because Trihex wasn't doing a lot of talking that Hbox took most of the load. Maybe it was because Trihex felt like he want familiar enough with the game. When it was McBenedict and HBox, they shared the commentary.
I love HBox as an announcer lmao
HungryBox is really good at commentating for having never heard of or played Smash.
Awestin is a monster. I hope he goes pro.
Awestin has been PR'd for every game since Brawl, since Melee doesn't count because it isn't a Smash game.
I’m simple, I see a Ness, I watch. Gotta learn
HBox is a phenomenal commentator
What a great match up! I love watching Awestin play! As a ness main I really appreciate the kind of gameplay that he brings to the table.
OMG I NEED TO HAVE BABIES WITH AWESTIN
does awestin have a twitter or twitch or something
TheMrBbab @AwestinAirDodge on Twitter
I got so nervous on that last match like all I saying was, "Awestin fuk him up baby"
Damn... what a fight 👍🏽👌🏾
So proud of my boy with the cute ass smile at the end
hey.. can we see Awestin losing sometimes? does that even exist on youtube?

Trela beat Awestin. He literally threw him out of the victor's spot with Ridley
I saw like literally one vid of him losing and I was so sad, I've watched a ton of his tournament vids and never saw it again
awestin won the first set tho@@jjabbott7249
"And Awestin eliminates Awestin from the tournament"
Awestin is my fave
Questions from a noob:
1. Why do people dash-dance and foxtrot?
2. What's the difference between those two?
3. What's teching?

This is the first time i noticed awestin does not dash dance. Is this his usual playstyle?
ive only seen this style of play from him throughout this tournament only

What venue was this at in Arlington?
7:20
Watching Austin likeI t’s Mortal Kombat. Finish Him!
awestin should have absorbed rob's lasers with pk magnet
My 2 mains are fighting
its always a nice thing to see
Rob is such a bad and campy character
Snow Dragon why does that make him bad?
hate it when one commentator constantly talks and doesn’t let the other say anything

A commentator should never say “what is going on”
