The number of orcs is confusing. Over a hundred left towards the river, and the hobbits were left with around "four score at least of large, swart, slant-eyed Orcs..." A few of the larger and bolder Northerners remained with them." So that's about eighty. Then Grishnakh returns, with a "couple of score of others like him..." So let's say forty? Sixty? So that's maybe 140. Then they meet the Northerners, okay, so we're back to 200. Okay, so it makes sense when Tolkien says "but fully two hundred remained." Okay, I withdraw my confusion.
Agreed. If that's not Eru, I don't know what is either. On a tangent, I just finished reading "The Last Green Valley". It is the true tale of one family's escape from the Soviets at the end of WWII. Eru shows up in that book too in similar ways and events.
Great video, as usual! But I'm confused. If the Nazgul were not allowed across the river, how did we meet them in the Shire, in Bree, in Weathertop, and elsewhere?

Wow great video, I am reading through atvthe moment and this was really insightful for me
FYI. "draught" is pronounced "draft" 😊
I was going to write that. Draught is the English spelling, but it is the same word.
And brooch rhymes with roach.
Well that's embarrassing 😂 I wish I could chalk that up to something but I got nothin'. Cheers!
@@aureentuluva514 I just imagine you going to Australia and asking for a glass of "drort beer"🤣
🤣

It does NOT say "liquor." It says "LIQUID." It DOES say "burning liquid," but it says "liquid," though.
Did I say liquor!? How embarrassing 😂. Thank you for pointing that out! I'll be more careful as we go forward
