- Hey everyone and welcome to a quick video on Royal Jordanian’s A320 to Dubai.
This is a highly popular route with up to 8 daily flights between RJ, flydubai and Emirates.
I’ve been wanting to try Royal Jordanian for quite a long time but there always was a reason not to.
This time I found a fare for $150 from Beirut to Dubai via Amman, so why not?
This flight departs at 23:30 at night so no views today.. I was initially not expecting much but to my amazement I had some of the nicest crews of 2023 and also one of the emptiest flights with 20 passengers!
I liked this experience so much that I will most definitely fly with them again in the near future as it’s quality for a good price.
If you’re on your way to become a Oneworld frequent flier Royal Jordanian might actually be one of the best ways to earn some points as I’ve seen very competitive fares with them.

Very nice and informative video as always. RJ looks like a great airline and yes, I'd love to see a trip report on their 787! Also, if I may add a suggestion, I'd really like to see a video about another Royal airline flying their 787 in and out of Dubai. And it's not KLM 😉

Quick suggestion since you loved royal Jordainan try there route from Chicago to Amman Jordan on their 787 Dreamliner

Saudia is a plan for sure. It will likely be done before year end. But each time I’ve got the chance to choose an other airline over Saudia, I do! (I just booked Cathay Pacific from KL to DXB over Saudia..)

Flew Royal Jordanian from JFK on their 787 (one of the best looking planes in their livery imo) great service and was stuffed with great food. Very underrated airline. I wonder why the Dubai and Abu Dhabi flights at night are always so empty.
The timings are quite odd and I don’t think it gets a lot of feeder flights at that time, perhaps that is the reason.. But it returns both from AUH and DXB at 7am to AMM and that one is always full!
Tbh idk if i was in that flight with you because I remember that i was flying from Amman to Dubai in the exact same plane and the interior was almost the same i saw last time.

Hey buddy! I know you’re waiting eagerly for it. There will be Virgin Atlantic first, Etihad after but I was thinking to do a super cool flight on the B787-9 in Business Class with the new service.. The A320 flight is just a bit normal..
It’s hard to choose one video over the other as they’re all lots of work but I have to think which one the crowd will like best 😢

This is so good, Once again as per usual a marvellous review of Royal Jordanian as I feel it’s one of the most underrated airlines in the Middle East, I seriously wouldn’t say no to flying them long haul on there’s stunning B787s. Also nice to see someone reviewing and praising them👏👏. Great stuff 😊✈️
Glad you liked it. I just wanted to make a quick video as I had some days off. They’re underrated indeed.I was going to fly them during covid from Chicago to Amman on the B787 but at check in I saw loooong lines with dozens of screaming children and adults not wearing masks.
The Air France line was empty and I asked them, is your flight full? No. So I rebooked myself on an empty Air France and cancelled RJ 😂
But I’ll have to try them soon!

Nothing worse then screaming kids and people not agreeing with the government guidance so everyone can make the flying experience more welcoming and stress free. Royal Jordanian has one of the best liveries indeed! I had the similar situation,when I flown on A320/LH/CDG-FRA recently,there was 10 people onboard so I had my first private jet flight..LIKE A BOSS😅I don't like night flights, because you can't see anything,but still worth to fly!

I think many passengers prefer to fly the afternoon and evening flight to Dubai, so your flight is almost empty on red eye flight to Dubai

$150 for a 1 way flight to Dubai is cheap. I would fly Jordan airlines in the summer by transiting from Asia to Europe or Europe to Asia.
Nice to see a narrow body trip report after some time. I prefer these IAE V2500’s over the CFM56-5B’s.
You’ll get the best experience if you sit up front due to the buzz saw on takeoff.

No strobe lights on takeoff, how odd
Well observed! It was very pitch dark, quite boring. Now thanks to you another reason was that there was no strobe lights!
Always transfer flights are cheaper than those originating from airline hubs , if your flight was originating from Amman I would expect it to be a little higher ! That's how it is globally . Good video , sharp filmming , thank you .

Rj is not bad .. but food on board is not good and the portions are too small also no entertainment systems .no map to know where you are flying
Used to fly RJ a lot between Kuwait and London in the early 80s. Back then it was known as Alia Royal Jordanian. Fares out of Kuwait were really low. All airlines did dodgy date change stickers on the old paper-based tickets to make it look like you qualified for a low fare special ticket. Remember the AMM/LHR sector made a stop at Orly. And some of the AMM/KWI sectors were operated by Boeing 727s. Also remember the very obvious Sky Marshalls standing at the door and frisking passengers. Good old days! Flying"s not the same anymore!

You have notes about the V2500 idle thrust and long range fuel savings , this engine has Rolls Royce as a partner , British found that mixing hot engine turbine air with cold bypass air stream from engine fan before thrust air expands out to the atmosphere would affect positively engine performance in terms of initial thrust which would translate into a faster initial acceleration of the aircraft , that explains the exhaust area cascade that you see on Rolls engines in contrast to other engines , however since the aft cascade carries its own weight , this fuel saving from higher aircraft accelerations can be realized on longer trips , that is you need longer sectors to have fuel saved offset weight of cascade installed to realize this effect , cheers .
