Vince Gill is a TOTAL TOTAL LEGEND and his BEAUTIFUL VOICE IS PURE BLISS!! This song was a masterpiece song of my childhood!!! There are not many people that can justify a cover of legends song..... but Kelly hunni....you do it justice and more! Just BEAUTIFUL!

Again I have listened to several of Kelly's covers & to me she just doesn't do any of them any justice. I love her own personal songs & she is an amazing singer & such a sweet person. But just about everyone of the covers she sings them way to fast, some of them she is way off key & she definitely over sings all of them, no need for all of the loud belting she does especially at the end of the songs. Again I like her & her music but she needs to stay away from doing covers, at least any that are slow pace. "Go Rest High on that Mountain" is a slow song, Vince Gill wrote that song when Keith Whitley died in honor of him. They were close friends and it really took a toll on Vince. (Keith's life was troubled he had alot of demons, he hid it from the world & was always smiling & so sweet so yes only he knew his pain, Keith once said he wasn't afraid to face the devil & last part one of his well known songs is No stranger to the rain) Then he's telling Keith go rest high, his work here is done go shout your love to God & his son. Vince is talking about the day Keith died & how they all gathered around his grave to grieve, Keith had the most amazing voice, if not the best there ever was especially in country music & that's what Vince is referring to when he said he wish he could see the angels faces when they hear his sweet voice sing!!!
