The circumstances here are hard to re-create while having them make sense and not feel like rip offs of this scene, tons of fake emeralds all emitting negative energy, Sonic’s friends trapped with no way to get them out, Cosmo looked like she had been crying while Chris was literally stabbed (check the Japanese version of this episode if you don’t believe me), but if they do manage it I’d like to see a scenario where the villain is now no longer threat to Sonic after he transforms. Black Narcissus got *very* lucky with the fact that Sonic was taking absolutely zero chances there. Dark Oak managed to beat Super Sonic before and he wasn’t sure if Black Narcissus could hold his own his dark form, heck, he doesn’t even know the strength of his dark form, so he didn’t try to fight him, if he couldn’t end the fight quickly, then there’s a chance that his friends would die. He’s holding back most of his power here, and I’d like to see a scenario where Sonic goes at the villain no-holds-barred and absolutely obliterates them. Something like the final boss of SatSR would be cool.

@@XLERTDEATH Movie Sonic would definitely react angrily and start lashing out, but I was talking about game Sonic who would likely focus on finishing the fight strategically first and then rushing to their aid. He can’t transform without the emeralds and even if he had them his need to **protect** his friends would trigger a super form instead (Chaos is power, power enriched by the *heart*). However, in this scenario the fake emeralds fed him negative energy which amplified his rage which then fed back to the emeralds instead which resulted in Dark Sonic.
Sonic’s been shown to be able to keep a relatively level head when his friends are in serious danger (Lost World is one example where Tails was captured and the others literally died for like 5 minutes, and even in SatSR after he absorbed the rings of Hatred, Anger, and Sadness, which mind you, one ring could drive some magical beings crazy, and the power of all 7 would literally kill someone, he focused that aggression solely at Erazor and even *restored the world of the Arabian nights* with that power) and as long as he sees a clear way to solve the crisis, he’ll follow it. In any case, if he were to use his dark form again, it’d likely be a last resort against an enemy that maybe positive chaos energy wouldn’t work against. Or maybe a negative energy source was the only one available (again, like in SatSR). That would be an interesting fight.
