Lovely and well done Katie. I have to disagree with you, however, concerning not being a teacher. Just because you may not paint according to all the "traditional" methods and do not have formal art training, does not mean you are not a teacher. You most definitely are a teacher, and a GOOD one. Your instruction is clear, direct, and well delivered. Please keep sharing and TEACHING what you know and your methods. I wish you all the best in all you do, and thank you for this painting.

Katie!! This is gorgeous!! My happiest days are when I'm notified that you have put up another painting!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR ART AND HOW YOU PAINT!! Art comes from your soul not necessarily from "classes" - so whomever is giving you grief for not being an "art teacher" **PFFFFFTTTT*** LOL...PLEASE keep doing what you're doing!! You bring Happiness to our world...and we NEED your light sooooo much right now!!!

I do have an art teaching degree and I want to say I don’t like you thinking that having an art degree makes a good teacher. Your videos are rich in fantastic help and description. The videos are extremely helpful to learn and help artists at all levels to build confidence and their techniques and understanding. You are one of the best teacher/painters I’ve discovered on u tube! I love your painterly style!! Bravo!!

A comment to Ai rin. I have suffered from anxiety all my life but we were involved in an horrific bushfire in our hometown in australia. My husband was injured really awfully in hs car and I had a head on collision trying to flee in miNE - long story. He spent a year in hospital and is now home but very disabled. I haven't painted from that day as I was at my painting group on that day and I think it s a way of denying myself the pleasure. However I spend a lot of time reading my art books and tidying my art room and in that way I am slowly rehabilitating myself. I'm sure that one day I will paint again. My point is that even if you can't manage to paint, jst surround yourself with art things and step by step you will take it up again. Good luck. By the way I really love watching tutorials and love Katies. :)

Leesa, I am so sorry to hear about your horrific accident! I hope your wounds and emotional wounds have healed by now. I have a friend in Australia and I am aware of the horrible bushfires you had and have. I live in the U.S. Hope your heart has healed enough to be back painting. I am a novice painter, but I find painting relaxing. God bless you.

I love your videos so much Katie. I am a beginner to acrylics and have been learning so much from you. On this tutorial, I really appreciate how you continually add the reference photo to the side for reference. Many times it is impossible for me to have two devices going at the same time so this really helps me to have it in this format. Just wanted to give you a kudos on that. I would love it if you would continue this format. Keep up the good work!

Personally I think the ‘teacher’ degree can just be thrown out the window. Some people are really good at showing and explaining others how to do things but don’t have the piece of paper to say they can do it.... others have the bit of paper, but are not talented in teaching at all. For me, I really like how you explain things and follow up with an excellent demonstration of your skills and talent. So please never apologize for not having a teachers degree. Your work speaks for itself. 💛🌻🐝
