Cartoons, luscious women, vaudeville entertainment, dance, ballet, violence, religion, eating, laughing, cats !
You know ... daily stuff ...

ABOUT THE VIDEO
This montage-like edit, was done in my third year of film school, in 2014, as part of a course titled "Vidéo Alternative" (aternative video).
The instruction was for us to find a weird and novel way of using filmed images.
I have to admit that there is nothing novel about weird and dispatched edits, but this was my proposal.
Starting 2020, I would later go on to use this technique of editing in my other channel "RayAft RePlays" where I edit visuals I like to playlists I like.
One aspect I like about this specific edit is the fact that it continuously subverts expectations as per its tone shifting, from ceremonious to guessing to cheeky to ominous etc.

Raymond Aftimos is a Lebanese film school graduate from IESAV-USJ and works as a filmmaker, director, editor, writer, screenwriter and researcher.
Since 2012, and apart from his personal projects, he has been active in both theatre and filmmaking and has contributed, mainly as a freelancer, to several works, under the direction of creators such as Philippe Aractingi, Betty Taoutel, Lina Abyad, Émile Sleilaty, Carmen Labaki, Feyrouz Serhal, Carol Mansour and Muna Khalidi …
He is passionate about entertainment, performing arts and music, but also equally enjoys crafting archive, portrait and historical documentaries.
