MIKUNI BDSR38 THUNDERACE

  • First time at setting the float height for a Yamaha Thunderace, couldnt find info on these carbs so had a go myself.
    Carbs are: MIKUNI BDSR38/4
    Skip 20:00 to 26:30 as I left the camera running without knowing.

    The boots are confusing.. to me it seems like they really don’t fit correctly whether you put them LL RR or LR LR 🤦‍♂️so if anyone has taken them apart for the first time take a photo

    Perhaps, thanks. I have a yamaha tdm 850 with the same carbs, only 2 of them. And had trouble finding the foat hight. I'll try your method, it sounds reasonable.

    Hi Neil,Sorry, I don't, I got rid of nearly all my stuff, just got an engine, frame, wheels and forks, planning on building another project after my xs1100 (see my other videos) under Jason Parker

    OK, You need to skip from 20:00 to about 26:30 as I had left the camera running whilst messing about in my cellar and all it does is just point at the workshop manual.
