This video just shows how far behind franchise mode is in NHL compared to 2K or even Madden. Would be so much better even if you could import custom draft classes. That being said I like the video, you did the best you could with what you’ve got and it was cool seeing all the old rosters/names.

Suggestion for any other time you may use this roster, you could give all the crappy players on Vegas and Seattle 10 year long 5/10 million dollar deals to make sure they cant sign free agents too!
My best solution is just to do your own expansion draft (following whatever procedure you want) and just phase those two teams into the league. Imperfect, but it's complicated to try and do the other stuff
Seeing Nick Bäckström win like 5 awards and a Stanley Cup in 1 season made me so happy. Slick Nick has been criminally underrated his whole career, which is pretty ridiculous for a guy who unquestionably is making the HoF.

Ea should add custom draft classes that you can import in your franchise like 2k has.
It’s ea it took them this long for coustom rosters it will take another 5 for draft classes

Or you could do Vegas for 7 then Seattle for 10 so it’s kinda like they can finally become competitive once they entered the league
