i would just recommend listening to a lot of midwest emo and math rock and lofi indie stuff, learn your favorite songs and riff on them and make them your own, try out a lot of open tunings, watch live videos of your fav bands, etc etc
check out some of trevor wongs videos here on youtube, he’s very talented and has a lot of helpful videos. also listen to a lot of math rock/midwest emo/etc and find your favorite bands and learn some of their songs and tunings they use
