I keep them in part shade until the top starts to shoot and break the tape. Spring/summer is my preferred time to graft.

Hi. If it was a cutting then yes leave the leaf, but for grafting it is not necessary.
How many years does finger lime takes to fruit after grafting?
About 2 -3 years.
