Over an hour of voice lines from Isaac at normal health. It must have been hell getting them all. Most definitely will be 9th circle to get those lines at Critical health.
21:03 I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite lines from Isaac. Daniels and Hammond are fighting, and Isaac is just "stfu. we got to work together on this."
You know, it's subtle but at the beginning, Isaac's acting just as scared as the others. But as the game goes on, he becomes much more confidant and expertise at hacking up undead freaks. It's not very in your face and a pretty cool thing if you look at it.
True, but I also always felt bad bout Altman-dude has been made a martyr and a symbol of Unitology against his wishes (because he was as much a believer as Isaac).
1:20:16 feels like the marker asking a genuine question, as silly as it sounds. Like it wants to know that if it would make it easier for him to believe that, thus making it easier to manipulate him, especially since you can tell in that run he’s more apprehensive towards the marker.
Today I played the 2008 dead space through ea play on Xbox and it’s funny how on the original one 5:46 Isaac is watching them get slaughtered and doesn’t react or say anything just standing there but in the remake is genuinely terrified
Fuck, after all these months I am so glad that it was Gunner Wright-the one and only- whom voiced Isaac. I love his voice and tone- he sounds so tired of that shit, so angry but sometimes terrified of necromorphs. Isn’t he cool? Of course he is.
I do like that he doesn’t trust Kyne at first, especially considering that he was with the Church of Unitology and would only help him later on, cos wasn’t entirely sure what else to deal with the Marker and just wanted the nightmare to be over.
What I like the most about the remake is that they really made Isaac a proper subject matter expert; it becomes clear why they bring him along for this mission when he's able to diagnose every single issue on the ship and be able to provide some pretty convincing solutions, as well as bringing up some genuinely clever ideas on the fly. Antidebris defense AI's on the fritz and can't find a backup, so he opts to sync the turrets' aiming system to his tools and feed in manual aiming data to bring the system back online. His intelligence and wisdom also helps bring a new layer of horror in in terms to how he's also falling for the Marker's influence, showing that the madness that befell everyone else on the ship didn't target specific people. Anyone and everyone is suseptible to its influence and won't realise until it's too late, and from what we know, it's also made clear that the marker's after people LIKE Isaac to spread its influence on.
I still don't know how you would get this scene at 1:22:58 as I've been getting 1:23:22 for 3 times in my playthrough (my first run, NG+, and Impossible) Would be cool to tell me how I love how both of these scenes turned out, the one in 1:22:58 basically confirming that Isaac had already known Nicole's fate even before he agreed to join the repair mission, all the while the shock & confusion he was feeling from seeing Nicole did what she did while the one in 1:23:22 is Isaac reacting in anguish denial and grief, like he was pissed that someone woke him up from his sweet dream with Nicole. Gunner Wright deserves all the praise for bringing Isaac Clarke back to life
@@kendrick5501 Ah ok. I read somewhere that this voice line may not be available on PC, but I cannot confirm or deny this. I played on PS5. I just wish they casted someone else for Kyne that sounded similar to the original voice actor. He went from an educated well spoken unitologist character to someone who had doubts and tried to set things right even though it was far too late. To the remake's portrayal just making him look like some wimpy college student always being cut off by the rest of the cast and a completely different person. Though that could be said for most of the remake. While it is pretty and I appreciated the new areas and traversal around the ship and I am glad they added DS2's QOL changes like the reworking of zero G, it feels like none of the story moments ever have time to give you the emotional impact that the original had. Everything feels so rushed and in a hurry to get to the next thing with no moment to take in what just happened in the moment to moment gameplay that was slower and more weightier in the original. I dont regret playing the 2 hour demo but they also didn't get the plasma cutter right. It lacks the impact and recoil to it that it had in the original trilogy. Its supposed to kick like a triple barrel sci fi magnum and cleave straight through necromorphs in 2-3 shots. Not be a glorified rivet gun. That is also in the remake and Dead space 2.
17:46 does he swear like that when all out of ammo? (for all tools/"weapons") or for the current one? Or simply trying to fire, even if the player still have ammo in reserve/their inventory?
Am I the only one who thinks he just sounds so different now? Like I realize it's the same actor, but I swear he sounds so different from Dead Space 2 and 3.
Am I the only one that thinks he looks too goofy to be Issac Clarke? Like without the helmet, I just can't take him seriously. OG desgin was MUCH better IMO. He had those eyes that just said "man, I've seen some shit". This one looks like he just getting ready to teach a science class for kindergarden.
Because he was still sane in this one, in DS2 he spent 3 years being interrogated and psychologically tortured by earthgov to get him the blueprints of the marker. In DS2 looks more skinny, pale and overall messed up

It's very good that the original voice actor who voices isaac in dead space 2 and 3 came back to voice isaac again in this remake
He also technically voiced Isaac in dead space 1 he voiced his screaming and grunting
