  • I would love to return again and again! I want to take my podcasting partner/friend Ashley with me. I need brush up more on the history, I really did not know much going in to the mansion. It has been on my bucket list because of the hauntings that take place here and the stories. My daughter and I most definitely felt something in the ballroom on the 3 rd floor. We reached the top of the stairs and I just had this instant dizziness hit me, I asked her if she felt it? She said after i asked that she felt something hit in her in the ribs hard and her stomach began to hurt. Mine did too! We both had weird stomach aches. She had to leave the building after awhile and sit outside. It only happened the 3rd floor. It does feel like people are watching you as you walk around. Reading about the haunts it is said a man was standing outside by the fountain. His friend was upstairs looking down and later asked who that man was he was chatting it up with by the fountain. Apparently no one was there next to him. He did state he felt a presence by him at the fountain. Its also said the spirit of Agnes Felt remains in the house, the house was finished after her death. Her husband and owner of the house Dorr F. Felt passed away like a year half later. He was quite an amazing accomplished person from poverty to inventions. The story is quite intriguing I want to learn so much more and if i have it wrong I am sorry I am still learning about the mansion. It looks like the mansion may have trails to walk. I overheard a guide talking about remnants of windmills and she wanted those brought up and resurrected but hasn't been done so far. WOW it is said the land has had a petting zoo, carriage house, etc. I really want to do the tour in October during Halloween Sounds like you explore by candlelight only!
