He actually studied art before he created MCR with his brother and then later other members There's interviews where he just draws or he's going around in a store looking at comics and talking about recommendations He also made a lot of art for the hand :))
this comic is my personal holy grail of never created media i've kept it in the back of my mind since they've initially tweeted about it, this concept haunts me and i think it would've been great - i feel like they would've handled this topic with respect even if it feels really out there - but then again, so does much of mcr's discography also call me crazy but i can't help but think gee - maybe indirectly - came up with this because of the band's time living and coming up with the black parade at the paramour mansion. i'm like 70% sure one of them explicitly compared the "haunted" house to an asylum in an interview before but anyway, that was when the way siblings' problems with mental health took a bad turn (which this time included hallucinations ect) and maybe that's the key to the idea of a batman comic (at least it seems like) taking place mostly in arkham asylum ? idk if this is a stretch. but anyway, i don't think this one will ever see the light of day, mostly because it's from circa 2008 and it's definitely not a time anyone in the band likes revisiting, they've moved on (as much at it was funny when gee wore a twilight tshirt on stage one time and called battinson hot) sidenote, the idea of mikey being gerard's robin is a great mental image (i'm picturing the 60s show version cause it's the funniest and also gee cosplayed it with his daughter once already) whoa can you tell by this long-ass comment that i'm obsessed with gerard way,,,,,,picture me like an emo version of the conspiracy theory board guy meme
Something about the Mikey Badge/Robin Badge thing: I think on Mikey's badge there's a bird that looks like it's falling... maybe there's a connection to that as well?
I just wanted to give some credit to Noah McAlister, the construction of this video is just so easy to digest its awesome! Keep up the videos please!!!!
Damn, that's incredibly cool. But honestly, I think making the Riddler one of, or the only, character that wears colourfull clothing, might be interesting. It makes him stand out more, and you can have him, for example, watching. Like: A busy street and on some balcony half covered sit's the Riddler and the only way you can see him is because he had more colour than others. Also, I said that before once ore twice already, but great job on your videos! Love to see you grow a bigger audience
@@noahmcalister My friend and I went to the library not long ago and I got the dark knight returns on my shelf waiting to read it soon. The rest of your suggestions I will definitely write down. I got a massive list of comics going. He also told me the new 52 was good so seeing the court of the owls as part of it is great.

absolutely WONDERFUL video goes completely indepth on everything kotm related,, i hope this videos creates a wider audience for the comic concept!! also you mention you dont know bruces age but there is one tweet that mentions him being 30 when alfred and the homeless knights adopt him!
jokers cat always getting ignored 😔 also for riddler i also think magrittes other paintings have influence on his mask not just the bowler hat, as theres a couple of painting with cloth covering peoples heads, the lovers for example

This is really intriguing but I’m not sure id dig the whole batman has powers and is crazy angle. Maybe it would work better as a dark parody/commentary on the batman idea, sort of like how the umbrella academy was a commentary on children superteams ala x men.
I think the medal mikey has on his costume might have something to do with mama?? Since that song is about war. Thats what i think at least. The story for the black parade is really cryptic lol.

I genuinely love alternative universes to known stablish stories and Batman has amazing range for this type of story, a shame this was never released
