Nope they left cause of the sun that was rising, remember that it was established that that could kill them? They did not flee Stolas sknce they have no clue who he is and what his power level is. Not to mention that the fight was between the three imps and the drones and the drones clearly won that. If it had been from the start a fight with Stolas things might have been different (i say might since we also don't fully know how powerfull AS is) But Stolas did not even do a single move so he is just here the excuse used to keep the imps alive. Because the animator wanted this animation to be considered canon if someone wants to (since this plays within MD episode 5) they created a scenario where both parties stay alive at the end. And who knows maybe this will be a good excuse for one day of a fight between Stolas and Cyn.
