I'd feel bad scoring like this...

- The NHL just had two bouche bombs in one day, as two players took slapshots to the face. We'll talk about that and more as we cover the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islander Game 5 on today's NHL hockey video
Milan Lucic > Aaron Ward > Mark Howe > Bobby Hull (age 41)
Wow, this might be the best one yet!
All I have to say is that hit on Cogliano from Eberle is the single most dangerous play in hockey. To think that PREADATORY HIT didn't get a major and suspension is just ludicrous. Head down, numbers out all the way...could have broke his neck. What u said about the Makar hit....what about this?
Oh, and he broke his neck. Could have easily been paralyzed. NHL DOPS is a JOKE!!
Face deflection just like coach drew it up
I have this memory of Johan Franzen with Red Wings absorbing a clapper with his face. Then hitting the puck mid air into the goal and celebrating like nothing happened.
head trick
Hyman just did it too in the oilers game 💀 face deflection
I thought that game was hilarious seeing both Sebastian Aho and Sebastian Aho in the penalty box at the same time lol.
I didn't even know there were two players with the same name until I turned on this game right in the middle of the four on four and heard the play by play guy say "Sebastian Aho in the box for Carolina. Sebastian Aho in the box for the Islanders." I couldn't believe that. Had to Google it to make sure I wasn't missing something....
@@humanbeing2420 yeah same. A while back when I heard about the aho on the islanders, I thought he got traded to New York from Carolina but then I figured out there is two of them
Oddly enough not from the same country
fun fact: joe sakic was the 15th overall pick, he has more points than the 13 picks before him combined....and more than either the first or second pick that year (turgeon/shanahan)
If turgeon was never injured then I think he may have been on par with Sakic
@@Mehole29 it's so interesting how memory works. I was born in 90's and as a kid you get tunnel vision. It's interesting to go back and see things now - thought turgeon was a legend from the 70's, and jason arnott was drafted in 2000's for example.
If I had a nickel for every goal that got scored off a puck to the face this post season I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.
and on the same game day 😀
I see what you did here
Hey guys - I didn't have a chance to record a shoutout for this, but please take note of the fundraiser running on the left of the screen. It's for a great cause, and I'm aiming to raise $20k if possible, across my channels. Your support means the world. For more details, check the beginning of this video: ruclips.net/video/26uSN2qNBk0/видео.html
Love that you’re doing this Eck! Taking an initiative with your audience and influence! Amazing!
But where’s that NJD v NYR game 4 video 😉
Aho is a fighter, first a puck to the face and then he gets back on the ice to essentially deny that goal by scoring one himself
Gotta appreciate the work and dedication these writers put in. Such a brilliantly and original script
Puck feed suddenly has a whole new meaning..
1 goal called back for offside half a minute after zone entry + a shot to the face making it basically an unearned power play goal...
WOW that 2006 Colorado team sheet, what a sight to see
To come back to play after that there’s only one thing to say. This dude is a real man! Love hockey and the toughness. Amazing!
*Maybe create a new game: "Six Degrees of Wayne Gretzky" (or Gordie Howe). Pick a random player and see if you connect him to Wayne Gretzky (or Howe) in 6 turns or so.*
That’s actually a really cool idea I’d say you got to pick a rookie then try to link him in 6 or less turns
way too easy. 1st click nhl second is whatever teams he played for 3rd is gretz.,
If you want an easier version with less turns, "Two Degrees of Jagr" would be a fun pick-me-up.
I know that I’m 3 degrees off the great one. I skated with a goalie who definitely skated with Messier.
@@Gl-my8fw I think he meant connecting via teammates not the wiki pages that the original game is based on.
Holy smokes, I had no idea Stastny still played! 😳 Pretty cool!
Nelson goal was awesome as he was able to hit it out of the air off Aho's face for the goal.
Hyman made Scott sterling proud with that goal
Aho deserves an assist on that Nelson goal.
I mean if I were Brock Nelson... I'd be feeling pretty smug with my birdcage on there :D
Love watching your videos. Was a little shocked when you said Timmins, ON because that’s where I live lol. Small town recognition.
James van Riemsdyk -> Ian Laperriere (2009 Philadelphia Flyers) -> Peter Stastny (1993 St. Louis Blues) -> Gerry Hart (1980 Quebec Nordiques) -> Gordie Howe (1968 Detroit Red Wings) -> Roy Conacher (1946 Detroit Red Wings) -> Eddie Shore (1938 Boston Bruins) -> Frank Nighbor (1915 Ottawa Senators) -> Art Ross (1915 Ottawa Senators)
Gordie is the key to all of this.
you only need 6 Bruins to play The Teammate Game to trace back to the 1936-1937 season:
2003-Present : Patrice Bergeron
2000-2003: any of a couple of players like Hal Gil or Pj Stock or Nick Boyton bridge the gap between Bergeron and Bourque
1980-2000: Ray Bourque
1964-1983: Wayne Cashman
1954-1964: Leo Boivin
1936-1954: Milt Schmidt
Schmidt was born in 1918, btw.
Northern Ontario represented so well in this recap, first a Sudbury boy in Andrew Brunette and then the Timmins shout out for Allan Stanley.
Hope they’re both alright. Tipping in a slap shot with your face is pretty metal
hyman had me cracking up when he was still skatin by the bench to fist bump his teammates while holding his face lol
I feel bad for the Canes Sebastian Aho. I'm an Isles fan and stopped celebrating Nelson's goal the second I saw Aho was injured
Crosby to Lemuix to Rick Kehoe to Jacques Plante, born 1929 with only 3 jumps
We need the Sebastian Aho fight, loser has to change their name
Excellent again. 😮
Wait a second....Statsny played with George Parros? Now that's funny.
Doesn't matter "HOW?" Only matters "HOW MANY!" lol
Mario Lemieux once scored from behind the net off Ulf Samuelson's face
Twice in one night is crazy 😂
The puck is day to day and will be re-evaluated before game 6
All that matters is goals. Doesn’t matter how they get in.
Hyman felt pretty good about his xD
Zach Hyman('s face) for MVP.
Indeed I'd feel bad about scoring like THIS
Patrice Bergeron (2003-04 Bruins) >> Ted Donato (1991-92 Bruins) >> Reggie Lemelin (ATLANTA Flames 1978-79) >> Rod Seiling - (1962-63 Maple Leafs) >> Johnny Bower (born 1924)
ooh this is a fun one
you need to make a vid about the stars and wild game about the reff
Ovechkin comes to mind when looking at teammates, given his age
Spare me. Bouchard whiffed on it. It was a rainbow that was fluttering.
C'mon Pierre wtf was that heinous shot lmao
Another man of culture(HockeyDB games) i see. If i want to check someones stats i pick a player from the trending list and try to find my player by going through as low amount of players, until i find a guy who has played with the player whose stats i wanna see. Sorry for a shitty explanation 😄
So I tried the "see how far back you can go with only teammates" game where my starting player was today's dangle games player (link is dangle dot games and it is basically wordle but for hockey players). I managed to use today's player (not spoiling it for those who want to do it) and in just 3 jumps, got back to Gordie Howe, meaning I was able to get back to a player born in 1928.
Bouch whiffed a little. He got under the puck sending it flipping LUCKILY.
I connect to the fourth degree to Jaromir Jagr
One night, two different games, two face deflections into goals XD. So rare, make a wish XD
Well in fairness, Hyman is use to bleeding when split open...😏
two former leafs involved in face related goals.
Unfortunately, they don't ask how, they ask how many.....
Aho assisted on the goal!
Hyman had the best because it was the goal not just an assist on an opposing goal
Don't feel bad about forgetting Stastny is in the league, Canes fans do that too.
They should use a full plastic or a full hockey helmet!
How many players in the NHL have won a college hockey national championship and a Stanley Cup? This looks like Paul Stastnys' last chance to get on that list.
Logan Oconnor is on that list, and both with Colorado teams
Lmao...."off the lips of Aho"...
I've been hit in the face with a puck before it's weird how sometimes you get lucky and barely get hit
shoulda showed where Aho got slammed by two islanders twice in a row!!😂
I truly do not understand why they don't play with a metal cage
I think Hymans Goal was better cause he directed it in with his face. where as the other got shot in after. glad they are both ok though
Hyman's face, literally better than Lucic.
Milan HeJduk 😂
This was not a coincidence. When teams are so good at blocking low shots...
In my opinion, game 5 of Hurricanes vs Islanders is the worst game played so far in the playoffs. Canes simply didnt show up and the Islanders didn't need a brain to win the game, they were just handed the win. Neither team played that good.
If the players aren't fighting the stipulation that they can't wear a cage, then I can't feel bad for them at all. It's their problem...and they're not dealing with it. It's just stupidity....at any other level of hockey.
Not allowed to score with your hands but they never said you can't score with your face
“Script writers” lol
lol the hockey gods were drunk and someone said "You know what would be funny?"
now thats using your head!
And I thought the jokes were just writing themselves when it came to the refs.
French absolutely arrives
which sebastian aho
Hyman did it better. Plus he scored on the proper goalie
mmmmm, 6 degree bacon.... 🤪
😅Bro kissed it in
bro, both times that you have even talked about the canes in the post season its been in the negative. have some diversity
nhl FACE off 2023
Soooo, how'd you like it when the Devils won 2 games at MSG starting a rookie Goalie? :D Rangers, best team to bring out the best of opposing team's inexperienced goalies? hehehe
Timmins eh
Hey eck, don't worry about it, you don't play in the nhl.
Why? It could be worse. Anders Lee once hit the puck off of the supine goalie's crotch!
Jagr kind of ruined your game a bit 😭
The Islanders' Aho is so much better, it's not even funny. Korpisalo is a total joke.
Wait so is the nhl scripted
Give aho an assist
Exactly it’s stupid
he should've ducked, not jump >_
Against the hurricanes I would prefer to score like that
Ahh, SellOut Stastny.
And I’m sure they did but it’s part of the game
Omg Stasney (spelling?) anyway you know who well you just said his name and I was thinking of the Stasney brothers who played for the Quebec Nordiques way back I bet your to young if your even 35 your to young shit I was about 10 then the Nordiques became the Avalanche? Even though the Stars Of Dallas are similar to the North Stars but that team just collapsed I donte remember it being like ok Minnesota North stars moved to Dallas I’m gonna have to ask Dr Google
Nothing to feel bad about shit happens
And this is what lost us the game…
i think it's wild NHL regulations bar players from wearing full face protection [if they wanted to], without already having a prior face injury.
Hyman angled his face perfectly for the deflection😂
hyman becoming a super star in 5 games lol. love this guy.
Last year's play offs he was a key member as well. He doesn't have the skill like McDavid but fuck does he work hard and earn every single minute he plays.
“Old Man” Paul Stasney.
I remember when the Stasney’s defected.
Forgot to mention that at one point we had both Sebastian Ahos in the penalty box. A full Sebastion Aho Sin Bin, or SASB for short.
2 sea bass in the sin bin. that's a fish tank.
Eck your so good at what you do. From one Justin to another.
Too bad it wasn't the Isles Sebastian Aho who shot the puck off Sebastian Aho.
