As a Filipino, we are thought that food is God’s blessings and respect is needed for the food for we are blessed enough to fill our stomach everyday while we’ve still our brothers and sisters in every part of our world who suffers from famine, hunger and malnutrition due to food scarcity.
Religious or not,giving respect in the food is a humanitarian value and each one of us should practice it.

As a bread winner of a lower middle class family, I feel very heartbroken when I see any kind of food waste video. Those people don’t know anything about poverty. But I know how does it feel not able to do enough for family, not able to give enough food supplies, not able to feed them tasty food, Please stop wasting food, and give them to people in need.
I am asian and In my family i have always taught to respect food and sometimes if dinner or lunch meal is left we keep it in refrigerator and eat next day.

I used to love these type of content (around 2 to 3 years back) since I was pretty young then. Watching them now is so painful. It's so annoying they waste food that can LITERALLY fill stomachs. Clearly, they have never been left to starve on the streets.

How could they disrespect the food that fills their stomach, that provides them nutrition and help them survive. In Sanskrit, there are many shlokas regarding food rules , about respecting food. There is a Shloka saying, "अन्न न निंद्यात, तद व्रतम" (Annam na nindyata, tad vratam ) which means Never disrespect and abuse food , it is the rule " . Japanese people before having food they show their respect for food by saying " Itadakimasu " which means I humbly recieve the food . So we should respect food at any cost without which we can't even think of our survival.
