As long as the word of mouth recommendation is after some time has passed, after the work has been done. My brother was recommended a builder, as his friend and neighbour were really pleased with the work, only to find a month or so later, issues were cropping up & he buggered off without finishing my brothers job.
Great advice. Personally I prefer MyBuilder but I see so many people asking for trades on local Facebook groups. I’ve tried that…..it is absolutely a waste of time!
