Paragliding : Beer Head Story

- Hello Guys
I am calling this Beer Head story as you can see from different point of view what was happening on this Sunday flight. I started flying at 11am with orographic clouds. 3 of us made it to Sidmouth and back. Next flight was beautiful sunny and around 10 people tried to reach Sidmouth. Few pilots beach landed and i was lucky to stay up.

That paragliding is about ! Use nature as much as you can ! Just do not panic and stick with your abilities. Do not rush anything like other guys 😇😉 i knew lift will came back at it was coming on and off in stages 🤪 was just waiting game 😁

@@PeterHoldy Cheers Peter, at the moment we are only allowed to travel to flying sites within a 5 mile radius of home. Sounds awful but I’m fortunate, I have 3 sites close to where I live which cover most wind direction scenarios. When the restrictions ease will look at a trip over to fly some of your coastal sites :-)
Love your video style, it's up close and personal. Not like you're trying to sell something it's just you mostly genuinely enjoying the flight like how it is supposed to be. I keep watching these videos while having breaks in my work. I flew in 2014 and did about 20 takeoffs and that was it..I'm gonna restart my PG 2 lessons begining of the next month. Need to put some money aside for buying some used gear. I might start getting a GoPro and making videos to haha. You encourage me. Thanks brother :-))
I am glad that my videos are inspiring you to fly more and do videos as well 🙏 when i doing my videos i am trying to tell stories as they are. Do not like forced acting or made up stories. Always trying to go with the flow 😜 if you need help in future with choosing right flying gear or if you need any advice , feel free to ask 👍

i am about to start my paramotor training but now after seeing some of your videos... man, this is beautiful. so peaceful. I will practice my ground handling & maybe never buy a motor haha
PPG is great if you missing hills or cliffs. When you are on flat ground. But is good if you have friend to fly with as it will get boring to easy 🤪 PG is about understanding nature, forces and focus on your skills. Then when you have people around you is fun, beautiful and peaceful❤
Well, today was day one of training. 1st time with a wing in my hands but ground handeling was made easier after watching your videos. I had an understanding of raising the wing & controlling it & how to kill it. Cheers Peter!

If this Covid 19 will pass then great coast to fly is down to hot Spain. Cheap holidays great food and lots of coast flying 🙏

Hey Peter what is that helmet brand you're wearing? Is that a charlie no limit? That will be my first investment haha(although it's a bit expensive)
icaro 4fight cut integral , yes it is bit expensive. Full face helmets are good. Good protection if you will tree land or bush land. + really important for Tandem flying as your chin will always hit passengers helmet 😁
@@PeterHoldy oh lol I was thinking about the chin hitting the passenger part haha. My long-term plan is to get my tandem license (PG3) in new Zealand and get my partner to do vol bivs with me. She's scared of flying by herself lol so she wants me to do tandem instead.

It sounds like strong winds early on but was light?
What was the wind speed?
@@stevenlarratt3638 yes wind was light, forecast was showing that it will be strong but that never came. Wind was 8-11mp flyable but not enough for crossing Sidmouth big gap 👍
