Similar story here! Went from a 420a Talon to a 95 tsi awd. She was $1500 and required every body panel i could donate from the first car (due to rust). Due to the nostalgia i ended up buying a rust free 95 Eclipse GST but the FWD just wasnt the same.. So im in the process of AWD swapping it right now using a donor car.

Took the corner at a four way stop running 40mph and it just took it perfectly. Hit the highway and it was bouncing off the top speed limiter at 142mph. The local town cop finally got on to the highway and about a half mile in, he shut off his lights and turned around. Gave up. I came back to town about an hour later.

You WILL melt the stock plastic fan blades with a big turbo and manifold like this.
I melted mine on a bushing 50trim turbo running 20lbs and 550 hp.
You need a metal fan blade upgrade, or slim fans to get them further away from the turbo/manifold.
Running it hard that turbo and manifold WILL get GLOWING red hot.

With a weight of under 2k Lbs, the car flew. Would do a burnout on the highway in 3rd. My car looked like yours with the intercooler hanging out front with no bumper. I planeed to put the bumper back on, but never got around to it. Had an STI pull up to me on the highway. Looked like he wanted to go, until he saw the giant intercooler. LOL. @28:13... In the high vibration world of the automobile, crimp on connectors are less susceptible to vibration failure than solder. In any other situation, solder is better. This is based on my 30 years building cars and building stereo systems. YMMV @35:52... You've got a fan, or it that Max?
