Do you plan to use motors in the Robotics Project that you are working on? Are you becoming stressed out deciding which vehicle to purchase?
You need not be concerned about this matter any longer. In this episode of the video series Robotics for Beginners, we will be going through various types of motors, explaining the difference between them, where you can use them, and explaining all of your doubts regarding motors in straightforward English so that everyone can understand everything easily while having fun with it.
Check out our beginner-friendly Robotics Tutorial if this is your first time, and start building your own robots immediately!
What is DC Motor - For conitnous types of movements we generally use a dc motor. DC motors are the most commonly used motors in a robotics world. DC motors are driven by providing a DC voltage. In most cases DC motors will have two terminals. We will be providing DC voltage across these two terminals.
What is Servo Motor - Another motor that we use most commonly in robots like robotic arms is the servo motor. This kind of motor is mainly used in cases where we need to move or push an object with great precision. Using certain control circuits in the servo motor we can easily move an object that is attached to the servo motor to specific angles.
Stepper Motor - Stepper motor is one of the most widely used motors if we need more precise moments. Unlike continuous motion in the case of DC motors stepper motors moment is more like step by step and hence the name stepper.
Brushless Motor - Then we have another type of motor called a brushless motor. But this is simply another category of DC motor. Brushless DC motors have permanent magnets in the center that rotate around the coils. The brushless motor design is better suited for applications that will make use of its longer lifespan and greater energy efficiency.
What is the difference between DC Motor, Stepper Motor, Servo Motor and Brushless Motor? This is the question that we will be answering in this video.

Please work on reducing the accent. I can’t watch the tutorials because it’s very difficult to pick up on you tying your words together and rolling so many sounds. Try be clearer for English speakers. I have to get off the video
