  • Carl Douglas Johnson passed peacefully from this earth into the arms of Jesus Friday, February 11, 2022 at the age of 63 surrounded by family at Hospice Care Plus in Richmond. Doug was born in Madison County to the late Jake and Ella Mae (Terrill) Johnson. To know Doug was to love him. He will be remembered for his laughter, facial expressions, fun personality, and loving spirit. Doug was a Christian; he loved our Lord. In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Frick and Glenda Johnson; brother, Charlie Johnson; sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Pat Johnson, all of Berea. Doug is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Patsy Murphy Johnson, who have been his faithful guardians since 1987. Special nieces and their families, Lisa Noe and son Mason, Karen and Roger Rose and their son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sarah Rose. His brothers, John (Sue) Johnson of Florida, and Jake (Shirley) Johnson of Berea. In addition, Doug is survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Doug enjoyed listening to the Grand Ole Opry and singing his favorite hymns and country tunes to his family. He also enjoyed watching his favorite television shows: Dallas, Days of Our Lives, Roy and Dale Evans, and WWF Wrestling. In his younger years, Doug participated in Special Olympics. Funeral services for Doug will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Davis and Powell Funeral Home by Bro. Vincent Carman.
