Stock s2000 does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. Far from slow.
You need to rev it baby!!
No torq below 3500-4000
Its a heavy car?! 1250 with 240
Slow?
What is she used to drive?!
Or her car is broke of she needs a good fix
Dra Dikketrip lmfao the car weights 2900 😂😂 y’all are the ones that don’t know shit 🤣🤦♂️
@@lrigs4295 almost 3k pounds and 240 hp. It's heavy for its size
@@lrigs4295 2810 get it right
Seat was designed like that to fit a helmet. Nice car!
Really? Didn't know that, and had to agree with her on that one.
Not everyone wants to drive wearing a crash helmet. If practicality is what you want, Honda also make the Civic Type-R, which is a lot cheaper than the S2000, not far behind on performance despite only producing 197 bhp *AND* is actually practical because it has a back seat and more boot (trunk) space.
Seems ironic for a convertible.
MrSupercar55 it's fwd though
MrSupercar55 two complete different cars! One is a hatchback fwd, a s2000 is sports car.
Finally someone who doesn't need an 11 minute video to go through their 5 things lol
Decside you're so damn rihht
Cough cough "Vehicle Virgins" cough cough
240hp is perfect for the winding roads.
This video is obviously a joke
let's hope it is..
No shit
I knew it!
100% bro!! She dont know what is she talking about! 2.0 NA with 241 hp and 1240kg... this car is a legend ...
she said HEAVY!! HAHAHAHA
Lmao, I feel like shes joking about a few things like when she says its slow and has no power, and then cuts to a clip of doing a burnout, seems a bit contradicting... just me though.
5uPAn0Va i love how she tries to use it for a uhaul and gets frustrated.
She said it was heavy
They have very poor acceleration unless u rev it to 6k rpm
5uPAn0Va in the us they barrely can shift and only drag on the straight, so sure she doesnt know that the S is one of the most exciting cars in the world when it comes to very curvy roads... ;)
GagaM13 very good point
how is the s2000 heavy
Because it's a ricer turd
Pure Luck wow “ricer turd” ur dumb
Pure Luck your a ricer
Pure Luck and if you drive a big boat ass muscle car your instantly known as a big douche bag
@@pureluck8767 why did you tap on this video if you hate "Ricers"
Slow?
pretty sure it was a joke lol with the edit
Yep its slow.
mac daddy Slow compared to what?? A Corvette C6?? A Cayman S??
Dude a Kia mini van is faster than that car.
mac daddy You forreal? How?
she says its slow but shows the lost fun exciting shifts and pulls.
Only 240hp, my car has 105hp and is heavier and i already find it pretty fast
This vehicle was intended for weekend car or race track. Not for long travel use or for comfort or roominess. This is a pure sports car. True it could use 200 more horses but as it is it's the most fun car to drive. Only problem is trying not to go too fast n end up with a speeding ticket. I have a '03 n I wouldn't trade for anything else. Nice video though.
1:39 Next, know nothing about power to weight and this car. Space, its a S2000 not a ridgeline , who in the sam hill buys an S2000 to carry a vacuum cleaner. Im sure this was a joke on her part.
TheRebuilt1 it’s not even a cup holder it’s just a small storage space
@@jackreedy4217 can of coke fits
240 hp and 2800 lbs isn't good
S2000 slow???😳
Δημητρης Νατσιοπουλος vtec just kicked in yo
1 - You bought a roadster.
2 - I'll give you that one. (Late) AP2 Seats were way more comfortable on long trips than AP1 Seats. The basket weaving in the headrest is to fit a helmet.
3 - Extremely Subjective. AP2s (F22) put down 210-215RWHP and something like 150 LB/FT RWTQ. AP1s put down 201 RWHP and 120 RWTQ. This will vary slightly by the dyno type used but it's pretty consistent overall. In a ~2800 LB car that was built to throw down in the Twisties that's not bad at all in my opinion.
4 - Yes the cupholders were an afterthought. It's heated though!(by accident because it literally sits on top of the transmission)
5 - Eh.
Hey, did the f20 and f22 really come with different hp outputs? As far as I was aware they had the same hp but different torque outputs due to the longer stroke of the f22?
Correct me if I'm wrong, genuinely curious because down here in Australia we only got the f20c all the way to 2009.
I drive a dc2r, tryna do my research to see if the s2k will be a suitable replacement
240hp even back in 2000 when Honda still made many cars under 200HP, was really good and even today 240hp for a 2.0L is very impressive.
Thank you for sharing. I have to disagree on some. I can fit two of the carry on standard suit cases in my s2k trunk. You just have to drive like you want to beat the shit out of it. No road is good enough for this high rev little car, especially on curvy roads in the canyon and high mountain. I just took a 2,000 miles awesome road trip in my car. Cup holder works fine for me. Takes some use to it. Saves gas and super reliable.
love your car videos, i was inspired to create my own channel bc of you. much appreciated.
reallt do you feel the car is heavy and slow?
Love my 04 s2000, enjoy it, you'll "hate" it less.
I also had it as a daily for three years here in Chicago before getting my Lexus as a daily.
Funny video! I subbed 😂💯 I'm an S2K fan too, vroom vroom from that V-Tec!
complains its slow as the wheels spin, smh
SlothWithJoint car is still kinda slow
Its zippy not fast but she still seemed to struggle to keep ot straight from a launch
@@bigkarl24 No way, it's at least quick. 0 to 60 in the 5's? Doesn't sound slow to me man
Robotic Venom pretty much around the same speed as a sports car from the early 90s
@@bigkarl24 Really? Yeah maybe cars more expensive, but in the 5's is slow? Bruh, your opinions are so skewed from reality. So you're saying a GTR is slow, Supra, Mr2 turbo, 3kGT VR4, and loads others
What year is your car ?
I enjoyed the vid! Lots of laughs haha
That’s the reason I got a integra dc5R it’s got so much room and it’s quick 👍🏼
I don't agree with it being slow, or the seats but great video
Could you do a vid on the integra type r in the vid???????
There's nothing to dislike of an S2000.
I've been looking at getting one of these but now idk if I want to. I've owned a couple G35 coupes and an RX-8 (rx-8 was absolute shit lol) but I've always loved the look of the S2000's but idk... Should I get one?
Yes you won't regret it! They're fun reliable cars!
For the price of the S2k its totally worth it (I got mine for $8.5k). Super fun car. Taking sharp turns at 50mph feeling like you're glued to the road. Its a big head turner, especially with the top down. Only downside for me is taking a single passenger at a time... And that damn cupholder, Joanna was right about that one.
No because i don’t think you deserve it if only wanting one for looks. The car is much more than that
I do hate the cup holder thing but also how they're all convertible only(aside from the rare exceptions) and the ap1s weak torque band stock
a head "rest" is short for head "restraint"... it was not designed for resting your head on it.
weird.. my s2000 is perfect for road trips, its fast enough and still gets 31 mpg....
its engine won awards for making the most power out of an na 2.0.....
for a couple grand it can be a lot faster.. an ecu to drop the vtec point is enough to change the dynamic of this little car...
Honda put the vtec point up higher to give a feeling of "boost coming on", but it kills 20 hp between 5200 and 6400..
Fns
You're the first to say it's slow :) I wouldn't mind driving that. Is it a daily?
Have a shorter shift knob, the longer the shift knob the longer the throw which means more time is added to your 1/4th.
Was she being sarcastic when she said heavy and slow? 😂
How can you hate anything on s2000 best engine ever made
Where are you from?
It’s a heavy car?🤔
Looked like u was holding on to the wheel pretty hard 😂 “but it’s slow”
the tennis ball stuff is on point lolll
Love the seats looks more race car like unlike the 06+
s2000 was built for raw fun not to be practical thats why its minimalist they dont even have a rear arch trim. the fun is after 6k and these cars just keep going and for a 2.0 na are pretty amazing this what a mx5 should of always been. and we will probably never see a car made like this ever again now we use turbo or big engine on everything performance.
i saw the GA plate at the end, then the thumbnail, and now i remember you are on s2kga
I don’t know about it being slow or heavy lol it beats my 09 challenger rt stock for stock
the S2000 slow ??? pleaaaaaaas
That headrest is perfect for getting headshots
S2k is clearly not for you home girl. Any high end convertible 2 door sports car is tight. Overall the honda s2000 is a great little roadster to rip around turns and reliable. it's not about power when it comes to the s2k.
It's hard for me to see the rear when backing out because I usually have like 3 bitches in my S2000
Seats were designed to work with a helmet 😜
But isn't it a sports car? why is the seat desingned for helmests?
track build use helmet
um yeah it's a sports car.... that's why it was designed for motor sports? (lel is this dude high or something)
The S2000 is the second most comfortable car I have ever sat in, say 2000 owner for 10 years
LOL! The edits are amazing
lmao. I like your style of being & funny ass editing.
Glad you didn't drag this out for 15 minutes like many YT'ers do.
Yeah, all valid complaints. For the trunk storage you can't expect much, it's a roadster...but everything else there's no real reason.
That tennis racket thing was pretty funny.
Lmfaoooooooo those edits are GOLDEN
The neck pillow
I drive an FRS and I feel you on the cup holders 😭
Vivian Martinez make a vid about what you like and dislike about it!
Totally agree with the Trunk Space.
1. Drive any gen Miata first then get back to us on storage space. You might have to change your luggage but it's definitely adequate.
2. Valid
3. If you drove it for its intended use you'd say otherwise. Find the curvy roads and you'll change your stance on this; it's not a drag car.
4. Somewhat valid. It was designed in Japan, not for America's BigGulps. I wedge my water bottle between the center console and passenger seat. I use cupholders as a phone/wallet holder.
5. It's adequate IMO. Enough for glasses, owner's manual, flashlights, sunscreen, small items.
Spot on mate. Honda wasn't thinking about take-away shit fat ass food and "drinking while gear shifting" (I almost die laughing at that comment from her), when designing this beauty, which, despite its roadster soul, it is incredibly practical and economical if you keep your right foot up, and hell fun if you put it down.
TLDW: i bought the wrong car
Ur so funny 😂😂😂I was laughing the whole timeee
You are so stupid
It's a driver's car, set up for the track from the factory. Hence the helmet cutout for the driver and controls set up for the driver to access from the wheel. There's nothing for a passenger. No cup-holders and no glovebox.
Nobody buys an s2000 to get groceries. Those seats are the most comfortable seats I've sat on. I do agree that 240hp isn't a lot, but you don't buy an s2000 to go fast in a straight line anyway.
you are from america right ;d ?
I like the part with the tennis racket hehehe
Super crammed in mine too!
I feel it's a bit tongue in cheek. Don't get me wrong, it's far from perfect but after 12 years and going of ownership it still brings a smile to my face.
The cut out is for Air deflection.. slow lol let me driven it and I'll show you fast lol
slow car? 😂😂😂😂 wtf?
Exactly. :D
It's meant to be a 2 seat roadster if you want space get a Tahoe also it's a 2 liter 4 cylinder naturally aspirated your not gonna get more unless you boost it and for the cup holder install a short shifter it'll make your life a lot easier
Alex Juman lol the gear box is already perfect.. I keep a disposable cup holder from McDonald's under my passenger seat when I get drinks 😂😂😂😂
Test drove a S2000 yesterday. Shit was loud as fuck inside with wind being the cause. Also 240 horses? It felt WAY slower than my c230k from 97 and my car weighs in on about 3130 pounds unloaded, while the s2000 sits at 2835 pounds. Something about having no freaking tourqe maybe?
girl, put a turbo to that thing and go to the race track, so you can appreciate that thing, that is the natural environment of that toy
why does this have so many dislikes? i got a good laugh out of it, good editing!
Haha i know what she be doing with her shift knob😂😂😂
Ouch
dude my heart dropped at 1:54 not even my car but jesus i got scared it would spill
its certainly not the lightest car in its segment at 2850, its also not heavy by any means. I can agree with you on the cupholder, it sucks.
Very nice video and funny as well!
I'm not sure if she is trooling the S2K or seriously upset that a roadster doesn't have adequate cup holder space...
I like the older seats on mine more than the newer one because it looks cooler
Agree with the slow. It feels fast or quick but its not. Get some force induction.
It's only slow when you compare it to new cars, turbo'd cars... I mean a Ford Model T is pretty slow when you compare it to friggin Bugatti. Not to mention the car is pretty freaking old. 10-15 years ago it was pretty quick. So I'm calling bullshit on the slow argument, lol. You shouldn't compare an old car to a new one because most cars 10-20 years after they are built are gonna be WAAAAY slower.
S2k weight around 2800. That's not too bad for the power. I guess she mean it the low torque. Realistically though it's a sports car....there not very practical. Least she's cute!
If you think 2,800 pounds is alot compared to cars today ... we have a problem
I wouldn't put it in the category of heavy, but it could be a little lighter.
They're fair complaints for the most part, but you're the first person I've heard say it's not a quick car.
0 to 60 in 6 secs is not exactly slow, and the S2000 has good handling need to be on tight roads to get the most out off it really rather than big straight open roads.
5.2 seconds
6 seconds??? Your car must have low compression and should be checked out
If somebody rear ends me while i'm driving my S2K i'm pretty sure I will get a bad neck injury from the seats lmao... I have it as upright as possible and still have to lean back alot for my head to touch the seat.
s2000 slow? i never new that
skua stone only slow if you can't drive hahaha
@Noir Spectre Wow you're genuinely not a car guy, and don't know jack shit about cars. First of all, motorcycles are slow? Motorcycles have the best bang for buck when it comes to speed, you can buy a Suzuki Hayabusa for 10-15 fucking K, and you'll beat a McLaren 720s. It'll hit 200, and do 0 to 60 in the 2's. Motorcycles are much faster in a straight line compared to cars, with the exception of the multimillion dollar hypercar of course. The reason why they're so fast is power to weight, it's fucking slelf evident. And typical 4 cylinder? Then WHY did it have the MODT HORSEPOWER per liter of any n/a car in the world, that's fucking insane. It was only beaten quite recently by the Ferrari 458 which costed at least 10x times as much. It also revved all the way to 9 thousand or 8200 depending on the generation. The engine was very well developed, and it's in the 5's when it comes to 0 to 60, how is that dog shit slow? And speed isn't even it's strong suit, it's handling Is fantastic and everybody knows that. A Miata is dog shit slow, a car that does 0 to 60 in the 8's back in the 90's, the s2k came out in 1999, and did it in the 5's. Most people across the globe consider 0 to 60 in the 5's to be fast, or at least quick. You're just so retarded
You should put in a HONDATA-ecu, because then you could push your redline too 11'500 revs. without having too do any internal engine mods! Sometimes - power is everything, but that's upto you my dear!
the torque is low on the car even tho it has decent hp stock. It does feel slow if it's not supercharged/turbocharged
0:29 Yeah, its not an ideal travel car because it's a sports car. You wouldn't put a suitcase in there anyway.
Don't understand all the hate. Of course the reasons to hate the car are bizarre, she loves the thing more than she hates it!
Well done. By far the best review of the 2000S I've seen. (I love your sense of humor)
I wanna hear that PR accent !
no one buys this car for space lol. its my weekend car and this car is my life. such a blast everytime i drive. good video, ill the out the others!
si me lo regalas jiji en cuestion de la velocidad eso se arregla facil se como hacerlo.. el espacio del maletero... eh recuerda que es un carro deportivo esta supuesto a ser pequeño... pero a pesar de todo es un buen auto
If you dont like cupholders in S2000 you can gimmie it, i wouldnt say its shitty :)
1:10 Oh yea? (Vtec kicks in at 4000 or 6000 rpm fast)
I think u need a trailer for all that stuff
This was dope
That's not meant for cups
There are short films on RUclips from good drivers who follows a 450 pk bmw m4 with S2000 with 250 pk, at the nurburgring germany racetrackthey go sideways thru corners ,the motor screams at 9000rpm while v tec kicked in,motor after front axle for 50/50 weight, close ratio 6 speed manual gearbox, alu boxframe, slipdiff.dashlayout from Honda F1 racecar from Senna, its a beauty, and you say its a slow car...youre hear must be colored, are you blond?
The car isn't really meant to be daily driven, hint why it has no space for anything......
It is a daily driver Japan made it for both daily driving and the track
