@@MementoMori-xx5qo all the new axons record 30/60fps they do it by not recording or recording at low fps with no audio untill the officer hits the button on the camera. once thy hit the button then the camera records at 1080p 30/60 fps and records 60sec before the button was pressed
if you think about it the Bank security cameras are running 24/7 for a LONG time, So they cant use a really good camera like 20 times in the same building it'll record all that video in higher quality and they will need more computer space, you see?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, i have no idea why the body cam has low fps, Maybe the battery is low & its recording low fps to save battery??

Very overly-dramatic. "Can go through an engine block" no, a typical 7.62x39mm AK round will not go through an engine block. It's actually considerably LESS powerful than most hunting rounds (like a .308 Winchester or 300 Win-mag) . If you had an armor-piercing version of the round it might make it through some aluminum engine blocks in the short direction if it didn't hit a piston. "High powered rifle" - almost all rifles are "high powered" in comparison with a pistol.

I was confused as to why she’d only just been shot in the leg & they were performing CPR. Being shot in the leg is not immediately fatal - takes a little bit of time to bleed out & if that was her actual camera footage, there was no obvious arterial bleed.
She must’ve went into a cardiac shock as a result of getting shot and that’s probably why they did CPR

Any round can "fuck up anyone" .22 short can kill. 7.62x39 (Most common AK round) is a decent round, but not that special. The main advantage is that it is cheap and is typically fired from a weapon that does not fail... Often. So yes, they added that part to make it scarier than it was... To add dramatic effect.

1:45 a 7.62x39 round would not cut through a engine block. A .50 BMG can’t make it entirely through a engine, but it will enter it and cause catastrophic failure.
7.62x39 moves around 2,000-2,400 feet per second with usually a 120-150 gr projectile, a .50 BMG moves around 4,000 feet per second and has a 360 gr projectile.
This guy is high if he really thinks a 7.62x39 would cut a engine block in half.

Round hit right below the hood emblem,went thru the block, thru the fire wall and hit the driver in his upper right chest area . Through his body and blew a giant fuckin hole in his back . A .50 will go thru an engine block , a fuckin diesel block .
@@seabee0733 realistically it all depends on the engine and the car.. Ive seen in person a .50 bmg not being able to clear a motor. Multiple times actually. I’m sure it could pass through Mercedes little 4 cylinder diesel they make along with any small displacement motor for that matter.
In my opinion why .50 bmg is hit or miss on let’s say a big block V8 is due to its internal rotating assembly. The odds of the projectile clearing the block on a running motor are slim.
Of course depends what ammo your using..

@@seabee0733 and all engines are either cast iron or casted aluminum.. it being diesel or regular gasoline doesn’t have anything to do with it.. Diesel engines also have less moving parts meaning you have a higher chance for a pass through. Seems pretty straight forward 😄

so i have 2 problems with the explanation of the ak47 in this case:
first an ak47 is not a high power rifle, its a standard rifle. high power would be an M1 Garand for example.
second the 7.62x39 (the cartrige of the ak47) does not penetrate an engine block (it maybe makes a small dent), you need at least a 50BMG or similar for that

Yea no. A .50 bmg usually stops inside. Always stops inside if it hits anything inside. Extremely hard to miss at least one rod, camshaft, crankshaft or just extra thick section of block. It will go in every time. Stops the engine most of the time but cutting through means exit in my mind.

Its not the gun of a bad guy, that makes a situation harder for cops, its the ability and skill of a bad guy. Even if he had a full auto m16 but cant use it, its not necessarily as dangerous and difficult to handle than a guy with a pistol, but a marksman who actually hits and has good movement

Playing with a junk car with a SKS (7.62x39 same round as AK ) I punched several holes in a V6. You could peep inside and see the crankshaft. It broke like glass in spots.

@@snikrepak the velocity difference from 4 inches of extra barrel are more or less moot in this case. Go to a website called ballistics by the inch. You’ll see the sks enjoy probably a 30-60 FPS advantage at best.

A standard (non armour piercing) round fired from an AK-47 is sufficiently lethal that it's destructive capabilities do not need to be embellished by the scriptwriter or narrator!
The AK-47 was designed to be a battlefield rifle, and has the capacity, range and power to be lethal far in excess of any pistol and to fire more rounds before needing to reload.
No Officers would want to give a dangerous attacker the opportunity to use that weapon in a built up area, so engaging him whilst he faced away from them in the constricted confines of the car was a superb decision which gave the advantage to the Officers whilst denying the gunman freedom of movement and a clear line of fire!
Officer judgement, tactics and fire control were outstanding, resulting in no innocent casualties during the final engagement between Officers and the gunman.
Thankfully, incidents such as this are rare and battlefield grade weapons are not usually used against Officers.
Good observations, but I will just make a minor nitpick that the AK47 this particular bad guy had wasn't a battlefield grade version, i.e. fully automatic.
That doesn't change its other operating characteristics or the type of round fired, though.

@Claire S automatic means you hold the trigger down and it continues to fire and semi means it only fires once. Owning one of those rifles with a fun switch without the proper licenses will get you a felony no problem. It matters because it is misinforming a lot of people that don't know much about guns or the law surrounding them.

@@windedbread860 It's an AK47 variant (the picture they showed was a draco pistol but there's no proof that was the actual gun the perp used) all 47 type variants use the 7.62x39mm round including the Draco pistol. The fact the gun uses this round means it is an AK47; whether it be a variant or not is not important in this instance. The point I was making has nothing to do with what specific type the gun is. I wouldn't care if it was converted to .22lr and looked like an AN-94 (which is an amazing idea btw lol) they said automatic when there's a 99% chance it was a semiautomatic. Not to mention the gun has a high probability of being stolen in the first place.

to prevent this from happening again add a engine cut to every police car that could only be enabled from the department they are from. which would make it impossible to steal a police car (it's also used on baitcars i think? )
