So beautiful ❤
The camaraderie and pure fun of the four groups doing "Gloria", and the respect for Earl Carroll when he took his turn, was a joy to behold. I remember when I saw it on TV 24 years ago and thought so then, but this was even better. Great idea, well executed.

I Adore the Chantels !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love That Doo_ Wop
I love all the doo woo groups on doo woo 50 but the one group that stands out is earl Lewis and the channels
Classic
❤
The lead singer seemed cold towards the other three
Yes she was,she had her if I didn't need this money face, while waiting for her intro😂😂😂.
@3:10 Was there tension between Arlene Smith and the other original Chantels?
There seemed to be a lot of tension between Arlene Smith and the other girls! Making a guess my thought is that the Chantel’s did not like having to send Ami Ortiz back stage after she had been lead singer for many years and it was probably at Arlene’s and TJ’s instigation!
J@@garyandrews1486
@@garyandrews1486 I think you're right. Arlene has sometimes been a bit of a prima donna, IMO, and left the group early on to "go solo" (she's said she "didn't feel group-y") while the others (including the late Jackie Landry) have always been tight and seem like nice, down-to-earth people and have sung together for almost 40 years if you combine the first and second go-round. I can't claim to know them well, but I have met them all at one time or another except for Jackie, and had a long conversation with Arlene in the 1980s (very interesting person),
She was getting the fish eye from 2 gals so don't blame her group grief in early successful years as I remember
When she sang for the audience they all had different outfits on
This must be an older dress rehearsal. Because that’s Nick on drums.

Correction it was A M
What are you people talking about? I saw No animosity toward anyone in this group.
Look how far she is standing from them.
I think she's disgusted because she has gotten so big and the other ladies haven't u could tell it was hard for her to hit her notes at the concert
