Wife and I loved it. After we saw it she asked me when it would be on Disney which she almost never does when I drag her to a super hero movie. It was a little goofy, funny and enjoyable which is all a movie needs to be. Brie got to show a lot more personality and they can’t have enough Iman. It’s really the most comic book like comic movie I’ve seen in a long time.
I enjoyed this film. It wasn't my favorite MCU film, but I never expected it to be. Considering the three character leads, I knew what the movie would be. Way too many people keep forgetting not all of the MCU was perfect and/or always liked before Phase three. Phase Four is the equivalent to Phase one and Phase five has so far been the equivelant to phase two. The only difference between this saga and the last is that this one has had to deal with more behind the scenes issues than the first. From combining movies and TV under one roof, to the pandemic, to an actors and writer's strikes, to Chapek deciding quantity is better than quality, to two different court cases with Scarlett and Jonathan. With how far in advance Marvel works and all these issues, they have no choice to move gradually back to good quality, for use of a better term. I liked this movie, but equate it to the entertaining quality of the Ant Man franchise as a whole: mindless fun over serious entertainment. But then again, mindless fun is what the whole of the MCU is, anyway. And I enjoy it for that.
Omg i LOVE THE MARVELS! It’s like a comic book coming to life! The camera work, colors and the action! Omf Brie ❤ she delivered the best Captain Marvel ever - obviously Carol now is for the first time ever - on her own skin! Such a development omg! Her invulnerable hero side and her vulnerable humanity. She started jaded and tired with all the pressure on her shoulders, alone.. and ends up loving being part of a team! We saw more layers to Carol’s personality. She couldn’t act on her max power, always holding back, so they wouldn’t randomly switch. Plus the fact that the bangle Dar-Benn wore weakened her. That made they think about real Great team ups! Awesome. Oh Kamala oh boy!!!!! She’s a delight! Monica so cool! Everything here is amazing. Their chemistry is out of this world! Goose and the Flerkittens! ❤ The flaws are normal, nothing we haven’t seen in the MCU before. Love it so much! So good to see my fave Captain Marvel back ❤

"This was definitely a movie" is a crazy description. The movie gets so much unnecessary hate. Is it a perfect film? No, far from it. But it was a fun and lighthearted movie. There are cons for sure such as the forgettable villain but overall the family and I enjoyed it in theaters.
There is a lot of valid criticism for this movie. It is honestly refreshing to see. After it came out, the internet was filled with a lot of BS about the movie from haters that had not seen it. It is good that fans are seeing it and deciding for themselves.

Iman Vellani was the best thing about The Marvels. I hope they add her as an Avenger. Her youthful charm will replace Spider-Man's as he grows into a leadership role.

It was good mid. Imo I’d prefer a few good mids rather than bad mid like we’ve been getting. I’m glad they are taking a break this year and not releasing much, so they can take their time. Because a lot of these movies feel rushed. But I had fun with this one. I feel like they rushed the Monica and carol storyline. Should’ve delved a bit more into it to dig more into captain marvels emotional side. And fury was pretty much just their for jokes this time around. He wasn’t really needed much outside of the connection to the characters. Oh and as usual the villains arc was a bit too rushed. I didn’t care about her at all. If those things were fixed this would turn from a. C+ to B+ imo. Cause the factors for a great movie were all there. But I’m fine with how it came out. Solid average movie to me.
I was surprised how a lot of was based on Kelly Thompson's stories. I felt she did a better job writing those than what was presented here. Disney always takes corporate liberties over actual storytelling

anyone can activate the bangle but only djinn can make the hard light and only on earth. It activated when Aisha found it. And we saw her Kamala's nani and Kamran make hard light
I like this movie, I am starting to get tired of the reactors all with the same take. I wish everyone had a bit more detail explanations and different takes. Especially when you see the comment section with the audiance reacting different to the reactors.

Not everything has to be connected and I thought it was fine like the Dark Knight trilogy connects to nothing bigger than what it is, and I wasn't expecting the 2 post credit scenes!
I mean this movie was not the best as guardians of the galaxy vol 3, like their was no connections to Secret Invasion, nick fury is upbeat again, the kitty scene was weird, and the bad guy was not as interesting as the last movie but their was some stuff in the movie i enjoyed like i wanted to see more of the marvels powers evolve and their final battle impressed me, it showed that they are formidable fighters, and we got to see Kate Bishop again and thats going to open up the Young Avengers and and we got to see Binary and Beast that was cool.
I know this movie got a lot of hate or critique and it has flaws, but nonetheless I really enjoyed the crap out of it. I mean just for the Kahn‘s alone it is worth a watch, for me at least. Enjoyment and taste are individual and people are way to serious about shows and films.
It was an ok movie 6.5/10, had a much clearer story than Cap. Marvel and NOT being over 2 hours was a bonus(we don't need to dedicate a whole afternoon to 1 movie Marvel!). Brie Larson felt like she was having way more fun as well, but without Iman Vellani it would be a 4/10. If Marvel wanna take the Avengers forward Iman Vellani, Florence Pugh and Hailee Steinfeld are your new Chris, Chris and Robert. The 3 women have such natural charisma they can lead the new gen easy.

Dangerous creatures that eat you while also being the way that you get saved? Hecks YES! I LOVE that contradiction. “Let yourself be eaten,” isn’t easy to hear, as we see the Kree’s angry reactions show. They can’t let themselves lose - and it’s such a natural reaction! As we see everyone running from the kittens at the end of the movie. 😆 Same with Carol Danvers. She could’ve pushed her limits and restarted the sun on her own before all this, but she was afraid of being consumed…
Honestly I disliked the movie. Kamala Khan was the only good thing in the movie. For the record I liked Captain Marvel. I don't blame the actors. They did the best that they were given to work with. The plot is directly out of Spaceballs. The character Monica Rambeau had nothing to work with. Captain Marvel was mostly unlikable except for about 10 seconds when Brie Larson was given a chance to actually show emotions that got stuck at point A without being given the opportunity to advance to point B. Planet Bollywood was silly, ridiculous and insulting. This is my least favourite Marvel movie.

I actually really liked this movie, I don't get what all of the hate was about.

27:45 I will say that they nailed the design of Beast, visuality pulled right out of the X-Men Animated Series and the comics around this time.
