Deli lovely... I hope you are feeling better this week. Growing organic food is pretty fun and therapeutic for anxiety. Saves lots of money too in the long run, IF you invest in growing your own. You can grow chillies in the house in pots. Use a food dryer and store them. Potatoes: use one giant pot or a raised bed to get a pretty decent crop of potatoes. Salad leaves and spinach, is very easy to grow once you get going. Herbs and spicey leaves: can be grown in any type of container really. Look up... Permaculture, No Dig, Sustainable gardening and Apartment gardening books, vlogs and youtube channels. It is do-able and pretty easy once settled, to grow really fantastic small crops that taste fantastic. Either on your balcony, and in a make-shift home growing system indoors. I highly reccomend starting gardening for mental health, especially during these times. It's really healing for the mind, and soothes anxiety. Trust me I've suffered with depression/anxiety for most of my life, also PTSD for 1-2 years. It helps immeasurably. 🌻🍃🌼 hope you and the fam are coping. Huge hugs and stay safe.
@@MommaDrake02 awww thank you. You're right, it really is the small things, looking after plants makes me feel good. Nature is a great healer. The organic food you can grow is full of nutrition, and through gardening your mind can have a clear out. I think 'beginning' is the hardest part of the process tbh. Get over that hurdle and... you're off. Lol 🌻
I do it too. I recently told my therapist I have lived for the last 28 years where I work thinking next year I will be next to be fired. I told her....living that way is pretty sad isn't it?
@@Donna-LookingUp I understand that completely! When I was employed I walked into work everyday fully expecting to get fired. I had no reason to think that way, but anxiety is suffocating at times…. Keep holding on to your sanity though peeps ❤️❤️
@@deligracy no kidding! My husband is like… why do you always go to the worst. And I’m like “ anxiettyyyyyy” 🤣😭 he helps me by having me talk through the fears and levels me out by showing me that my anxiety might make me think the worst but logically nothing shows that it will turn out that way. Being pregnant with anxiety is an adventure 😅
I’m praying for you guys I know how this feels, know there is a God above these earthly emotions keep him first and stay prayed up to conquer this thing! 🙏🏽 Jesus loves you & cares for you!
Sorry to hear you couldn’t go home, Deli. Waking up everyday to see news of what’s happening in NSW is so disheartening. I really hope you, James, and Bowser get through this sooner rather than later. ❤️
I feel for her, being in lockdown is no joke. My family has to go into quarantine for 2 weeks and our dogs got really sad because they weren’t getting to go outside, they looked so happy when they got to go on a giant walk the day we got out!
When you do hopefully get to go home, you should see if there are any shelters in the area that will take to food you have to leave behind - they will all have policy’s in place for donations at the moment
this, so much this! it would really be a waste to throw it out, rather than donating it. especially as most homeless shelters and food pantries* are under _way_ more demand than "usual", because of the individual economic impact the pandemic has had * not sure if they're called that (food pantries) in australia but that's the US term 🤷🏻
Deli and James, I can't imagine how stressful and heartbreaking it is to be in limbo like that. I give you all the props for being strong and being able to jump back from something like that. ❤️
Just because people have it worse than you does not make your feelings any less valid or important, it is sad to prepare everything to leave, organize your life for a situation and then have it all fall apart..it's not easy accepting that. Glad you are feeling better, at least you got the house clean so that's a plus!
I absolutely love that you and James are in it to win it! I've shipped you guys together for so long. It's calming to see the fam getting through together. Thankfully you guys are sharing this difficult moment. I'm really invested in James' vibe right now. His upbeat banter and style is exactly what you need right now. Happy Birthday Bowser! Praying for numbers to go down, seeing more people smile...and reunite with love ones who haven't seen each other for awhile. Sending love and hugs from Tennessee, USA.
You're allowed to have these feelings! Don't feel discouraged! You are more than allowed! Like you said, everyone's struggling one way another. Can't wait until we can (hopefully) get back to normal! Much love!!
Oh Deli, i know how you feel. I've been stuck in a foreign country since this all started and haven't been able to visit my family despite issues at home. Let's stay positive❤️❤️ we'll be able to go to our homes soon!
Same! It’ll be 2 years since I’ve seen my family, and now I’m pregnant it’s even harder to know when I can travel/see them again. Stay strong Janine and Deli! I’m so glad you’ve got people you love with you 💜 I don’t know what I’d do without my husband and friends xxx
I was seeing all the comment of James’ “HI!” Before it happened and still was not prepared. Made me chuckle. Hope you guys are doing okay and can go back to your home soon✨
I can't believe how disorganised our government is, but I really admire how optimistic you stayed the whole time you and James were being mucked around. Seriously though, this makes my blood boil. Please take care of yourself, and James too, from a fellow Aussie stuck in lockdown :)
I really don't get WHY they don't give more information. Like Deli said, they don't know when they'll be able to re-apply, how to improve their application... Also just the fact that it feels like the government is treating its citizen like less than dogs. Stranded outside of the country, no information given, just pack and unpack because you're in limbo (which means spend money on stuff you'll potentially have to throw away). It makes my blood boil.
As a European I'm a little shocked about how aussie is handeling this situation 😬 It's such a beautiful place with amazing people but this covid situation is really taking it too far. I'm so sorry for you guys. Hope you get your freedom back soon !!
@@Josh_96 it breaks my heart to see other countries opening up to each other and meanwhile, here in Melbourne we're the 4th most locked-down city in the world 😭
This video really made me feel so bad for you guys living in NSW and Victoria. I'm in WA and we haven't had to go through what you guys are although we still can't really leave our state. Your video has brought the whole reality of your situation there. I so hope it gets better soon but it's also truly horrible how we are locked up like this. They should at least have the common courtsey to give you guys some advice on what to do, but it's all so beauracratic and inhumane. I have a lot of family in both states and I just can't get to see them and my nephew, who lives in Sydney, will end up missing both of his brothers weddings. Hang in there fellow Australian.
I understand wanting to limit travelling, but it seems crazy what is going on on the East Coast of Australia. Here in Germany we had lock downs too, but not for months and even though my area particularly had like 7 months on end of lockdown, lockdown "light" including 9pm curfew I could have taken the train for an hour to go see my family when the regular lockdown was lifted. Tests and quarantine should help with that, especially now with vaccinations. I don't agree with people going on holiday trips (people here have been doing that the past couple months, especially with summer break in schools, which is insane to me), but I can't imagine someone with a dying family member or children left behind not being allowed to go to them if they can prove they don't have Covid and would even quarantine. Like, I don't need to go to the Mediterranean right now, but I would need to go see my grandma one last time.
@@CarinaCoffee Yeah I have to say, it irritates me so much to see people generalise that what Australia is doing is some big left-wing conspiracy... when to my knowledge, no other country has taken things this far. I was never anti-lockdown in my own country (though I have no love for our government) but what Australians are going through is insanely extreme and frankly inhumane. Eta Oh I just remembered about lockdowns in China, pretty sure they were similarly harsh? But definitely not the norm...
Being in the ACT within Australia, I’ve had to resort to online learning ( again) I even had to go into quarantine for the 2 weeks for being a close contact from school and an out of school club, It really sucks to not know if you have covid or not, luckily I was negative so I was able to take my dogs for a walk after two weeks!
@@destinsansbury4992 ah yes, the conspiracy theorists are on it again. Some people at Davos point out this is a good point to transform our economies into more sustainable ones and now people think it's a great big agenda to oppress people 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 It's completely unrealistic that countries that can't even agree on the simplest things without years of meetings suddenly come up with a conspiracy like that. And if they did that on such a grand scale they wouldn't be able to shut up people exposing them? And to what end? Better their citizens life? Uhhhh socialism, how scary indeed! I live in a socialist market economy type country which happens to be the 4th largest economy in the world by GDP while being a welfare state. It works, it's not rocket science, stop looking for easy answers to complicated questions on the internet, all you will find is people trying to brainwash you into falling for a scapegoat narrative and make money off of your fears.
Sending hugs to you and James from a random simmer in the Philippines. I haven't gone back to my hometown for 5 months and I'm low-key feeling your stress. I hope everything gets better soon!
Hey girl trust me I know how it feels it happened to me last lockdown I hope ur taking care of yourself and doing nice little things I’m 13 and I look up to u so much I hope u have a better day tomorrow 💗
My mom has a mental health issue. She has also had breast cancer, a mastectomy, diabetes and started fighting cancer again last year. Lately, she hasn't been eating. Sometimes when she does eat, she throws it up. She's also been having issues using the bathroom. I have brothers, but my dad and I are the ones who have been taking care of her. I'm a grown woman who had to put my life on hold and not work to stay home, so someone can always be here to keep an eye on my mom. I've been on lockdown since 2014, so I'm used to this. I haven't seen my own best friend in years. I had problems long before covid, but I see this is hitting people hard.
@Lexi 93 I think if our state had like hundreds of thousands of people dying every day of course I want to be staying home every single day and not leaving and just taking care of people but the reason why my state so fed up is because not many people are dying and there are so many more suicides than there are like deaths from Covid
@@TheeAntisocialXxtrovert I understand you because I went through a similar thing with my mom. And it is hard to see other people suffer from "smaller" things but we have to understand that it is not the same and it is not their fault. Unfortunately, many of us have constantly complicated lives. I hope that one day you can have the life you need and deserve for taking care of your mom.
This happened to us during lockdown as well. When Korea originally went into lockdown my husband and i were visiting his grandpa in the country to make sure he were ok and we were not allowed to go home for 4 months and our trip was only suppose to be for 2 days. So imagine how our apartment smelled with all the food that had gone off. We're both surgeons and they still would not let us leave because we're in specialty fields they did not deem to be essential. Every single day they would tell us to wait for confirmation to return home. That feeling of getting your hopes up constantly only to be told no is one I'm all too familiar with. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy so having one of my favorite youtubers going through what we did is truly upsetting! I really hope you get to return home soon!!
Really feel for you Deli. 😭 I’m not anti-lockdown but there needs to be more compassion brought into these decisions because they’re having a huge impact on the mental health of so many people. It’s disgraceful they strung you along and then couldn’t even call you to explain why your exemption was rejected. It all feels so needlessly cruel. Hopefully things turn around soon. Sending love ❤️
I'm American so forgive my "give me freedom or give me death" mentality but genuinely curious what's the point in shutting down the country to "save lives" if you're miserable? That's not living...
Exactly. Plus, where were all these measures until now because ppl die of flu and other contagious diseases every year. Anyone with half a brain can see this isn't about health.
I remember when I saw you and James do a video together for the first time, and I just knew one day you'd end up together. There's just something about the chemistry between you two!
If you want to store mint or other herbs in your fridge, the container of water is a good way to go but you also need to loosely drape a plastic bag over it (sort of making a tiny green house for it). The air of the fridge is extremely dry so this tiny greenhouse will keep your herbs fresh and moist. You can also sprinkle a bit of water on the inside of your bag so the air under it is less dry. Also. that's called a butternut squash here in Canada. Is it called a pumpkin in Australia?
All the love to you Deli ❤ I can't imagin what you're going through since I live in Sweden where we havn't hade any lockdowns nor traveling fordbidden within the country. Loads of resteictions yes, but we've benen pretty free compared to you and many others. I really hope you'll be allowed back home soon ❤ And a cyber birthday hug from me to Bowser!
We’ve had the most stressful time trying to get our puppy across the border, she’s literally half an hour away from us and yet we can’t pick her up. I haven’t been able to see my two disabled siblings for months! I’m so sorry your exemption fell through.
Genuine question: is every single road in and out of the state blocked with patrol? Like what would happen if you met someone halfway 15 min and did a puppy drop off haha. Like are they really able to monitor every car and every road? I live in the US so I guess I don’t understand what your state/county(?) borders are like.
@@lizalove91 we could try something like that but it’s the risk involved. Sure we might not run into police but if we did it could be a $5000 fine. We’ve managed to find a transport company but it’s $500 that we weren’t anticipating for such a short trip. Particular when our city is basically cut in half by borders. Since NSW gave up on trying to minimise cases it’s effecting all the other states that wanted to keep low case numbers. It’s effecting so much of our normal lives that some people are getting close to the end of their tether. But I’m still proud that our country hasn’t had as many deaths as others, even though any amount of people dying is heartbreaking.
Hey Deli ❤ (and James) sending you all the love in this time. That must be the most difficult thing to go through. Just remember that even tho the end might not be in sight, there will be an end to it. Please don't stop sharing your experiences because it is eye opening to someone living in the US.
This is so eye opening- I’ve heard of extended and extensive lockdowns in other countries, but I was ignorant of what was happening in Australia. Thank you, Deligracy, for sharing the whole experience. I hope these restrictions are done away with and you are able to visit your home state soon. In the meantime, this makes me very grateful for the freedoms in the US, as messed up as the US can be sometimes.
I’m Australian but live in Scotland. I’d love to see my family back home but after so many UK deaths there’s no way I’m going on a plane and I can’t expect anyone else. It sucks.. I haven’t seen my mum in over 2 years. Being away from your home base sucks.
i'm in the same situation, I am in Scotland for uni and my parents work in China so they have been stuck there in order to keep their jobs and I haven't seen them in a year and now might not for another year if things continue like that. every time there's an opportunity for them to come visit it doesn't work out. I hope you are managing and will get to see your mum soon
@@gracievallee2551 Oh I hope you get to see your parents irl soon! I'm from Germany, but I studied abroad in China for a year, so I know how tough it can be not seeing your family for an entire year, but at least we got technology to make up for it a little bit. Can't imagine what people went through 100 years ago with the Spanish flu. People being quarantined without internet and only being in contact with family via letters seems like hell.
Lexi 93 It was never about a virus, and so many of us warned this was coming for years! We’re at an important crossroads at this time - time to stand up for freedom and speak out against tyranny, or comply and lose absolutely everything we’ve all ever worked for! 💗
Sending you and James lots of love! The two of you have provided an escape for so many in your communities over the years. Hoping we can all get through these times and truly to the other side of it soon!
When this pandemic is over, I highly recommend growing a bay bush. You can keep it small in your kitchen and use fresh bay leaves whenever you want, plus it smells amazing and pruning it is therapeutic. Sorry you didn't get to go home, maybe soon! At least you have James.
We were also in this position.. myself, hubby and kids were left homeless in nsw, with our new house and belongings in Qld. After 3 weeks without our home we were granted the exemption. Such a stressful time. Thinking of you guys and wishing you luck!
When James came on screen saying "HEY!" in your ear I nearly shat myself LOL! 😂 I was so invested into what you were saying, I could literally feel the anxiety building within me and felt sick for you and everything you both were going through Deli... then that happened and my heart leapt into my throat!!! 🤣 Talk about a jump scare!!! 😂 Awww! Deli, my heart broke seeing you so down lovely 💔 I'm just so upset for you and James and really worried for you and what is going to happen regarding the move you had planned for this month, and of course, how hard it must be for you to be away from your loved ones, friends and home 😢 I'm so terribly sorry that they didn't even have the decency to call you and only gave you such a generic email with no way of getting in contact to figure out why. It would be nice to at least know the reason. Knowing me, I'd be hounding them 😅 What makes it harder is the fact they gave you hope! You talked to them and answered so many questions, they had you do tests and get forms, etc. I'm just so upset for you 😔 I think what makes me most angry is that our PM was given an exemption and able to cross the NSW border for Father's Day while SO many families just like yourself are displaced or separated from being with their loved ones. It's just not right. I don't think that just because someone has more political standing, power or money that they should being given higher priority. Even like when that Katie Hopkins lady was somehow able to enter Australian Borders for BB! Thank goodness that was rectified. Though I can say I wouldn't expect much else from a PM who went away on holiday during a time when our country was burning and literally in late 2019/early 2020 🤦♀️ At the end of the day though, It's so beautiful to see that you and James there right by your side, as well as Bowser 💗 You can tell you both bring a smile to each other's face and even though I'm sure there are times of frustration that come along with being with someone nearly 24/7, you can really see the love, the support and the laughter you bring into each other's lives and I'm just so glad to know you have one another during such a trying time... PLUS US!!! We are here for you always Deli 💗💗💗
Deli- when it comes to parenting I think you’ll be amazing because you are so caring and thoughtful. I feel like I am a generally anxious and stressed person in life however as a parent (of two boys age 5 months and just turned 2yrs) I somehow find CALM in the storm. I don’t know if it’s because you have to be the “adult” or simply because you learn to fight your battles and just love and enjoy time with your children, but you may really surprise yourself!!!!
I hope it gets easier deli! I’m so sorry that you can’t go home. I was scared of the US doing this over Christmas. I hope you get to see your family soon
Hi Deli, as a fellow Melbourne resident, don’t know when you filmed this but just keep trying depending on where you are in NSW Victoria are starting the process to get people back home. At the moment it’s the border people to do a trial of the home quarantine. Hopefully it won’t be to long after that. Keep your chin up. Big hugs to the both of you.
You may not know the answer to this, but is the house in the video not their permanent residence? I'm confused on what "going home" means. Is she just visiting her hometown or was she stuck in someone else's house this whole time?
@@HMAP792 Oh! Okay that makes much more sense. I thought they had permanently moved in to a place together so I wasn't aware they both had separate residences.

Deli - I cried for like 50% of this video. I love watching you guys. And yeah - I'm that mom. My husband is freaking amazing and does SO MUCH. But mornings and bedtimes are absolute ChAoS in our home. 4 kids getting in routine. I am THAT mom. Everything is always High Stress. Best of luck to you guys. You are amazing.

Organic food is also a lot higher in the US. And from research I’ve done, it really doesn’t even mean anything. Something being organic has almost no difference for other food.
It's about soil health.. We are depleting nutritions from our soil and won't allow it to recover, we also use big machinery that compact the soil and prevent bugs from living in it. Stones are also very important for replenishment of nutrients. And the pesticides and fertilizers used also destroy the natural web of roots and bugs that replenish the soil. Real organic farming is basically to insure healthy soil for future generations, not necessarily better tasting stuff for us now. So it is worth it, ethnically, to buy real organic if you can. Just for a different reason..and I can imagine in the US the label organic isn't really protected as much so.. I'm just talking about true organic fruits and vegetables, not just companies that use it as a buzz word
There's definitely a taste difference. Biggest difference I've noticed is carrots. Pesticides definitely matter as well as everything michalovesanime said.
Kurzgesagt has a great video on the pros and cons of conventional vs. organic farming that I highly recommend. While there is no meaningful difference in nutrition, there are benefits and drawbacks environmentally on both sides to the point where it's hard to say one is definitely better than the other. If you are concerned about the environmental impact of your produce, it's much more important to buy local, in-season foods, whether or not they are organic.
@@michalovesanime I agree that it's really important to consider how farming practices will impact future generations, unfortunately it's not as simple as organic being better for soil health. There are many other factors that come into play when considering sustainability of organic vs. conventional farming practices. The best way to be environmentally conscious in buying produce is to choose locally-grown, in-season items, whether it is organic or not.
Wow being from the US I could not imagine not being able to go from state to state in terms of seeing family or heading back to your home. Lots of care and love ❤️
This is what the left is pushing for, this is what they want. Trying to sign us all up for being under control, needing permission to leave our homes or even just to go outside. How can they not see the slippery slope of mask and vaccine mandates. It's mind blowing.

@@deligracy Deli, I live in the US and I apologize but I’m not familiar with the laws over there. What happens if you and James just get in the car and go? Are there road blocks or somthing? Much love from the US, please stay strong and positive ❤️
Do they still have to pay rent or is all of that being waived because that would be soooo wrong to be paying for a place you aren’t even allowed to go back to
I really feel for all of you. I had pretty similar news today too. My fiancé's aunts/uncles/cousins were hoping to attend our wedding in a month, but the travel restrictions from the UK to the US are still so harsh. We were all holding out hope for as long as we could. It's sad that I won't be able to meet them yet, but that will make it even more special whenever we're finally able to fly to the UK and see them.
Yeah that treatment from the government is not ok, they should at least have better communication if they have to have rules this strict. But something that bothers me - I don't understand the food waste. Why would you throw it out before you actually know you're going? Does it take you hours to walk a bag out to the bin or something? Also why throw everything out in the first place, you could've put a lot of it in the freezer, and pantry stuff should keep a long time anyways... Even if it takes months to come back you could just go through everything at that point to check if it's still good or not, no need to throw it out now just in case 🤦♀️
Thank you for sharing your story! The news is otherwise the only source of information for me. So sorry you are going through all that. I hope you can get back to normal life soon (whatever normal is, that is).
Living in the United States that doesn't even really care about the pandemic. I feel soooo bad for you and James! Hopefully soon enough you'll be able to go back and forth! And your beautiful with or without the makeup! Thank you for the update! Can't wait to see more. 🥰
Feeling very, very lucky at the moment to be living in a country that is still taking the pandemic seriously, has 90% adults vaccinated, and never went to Australian-level extremes...
@@franklyfrankie1203 Omg your country sounds like it handled it a lot better than Australia has. They left it far too late here to lockdown hard and a lot of Australians aren't vaccinating but we are up to almost 70 percent so I hope things will get better soon.
@@montanalemaitre4451 Oh if you're up to 70% yeah it hopefully should soon. Yeah they definitely handled it better than many placed, not perfect by any means, but there was a big big push on vaccination. We still have bizarrely high case numbers despite vaccination but they have been steadily dropping for two weeks, finally! And hospital cases have been manageable.
Its so horrible not being able to go home.. I cant even imagine.. but I hope you guys keep each other strong enough to go through this together and I hope you will be able to go home soon💕
Wow thats some extreme lockdown rules whats the point of getting vaccinated if your still made to be stuck in quarantine and theres no way your not aloud to take your dog out for the bathroom thats overly restricting. Not to mention the fact that you cant travel freely in your own country especially going back to your home part. I’m really sorry for your situation Deli this must be so stressful I hope things get better.

I love this reply so much! Growing your own foods, even if it's small things, is so much fun and therapeutic.
Thxs for Sharing, I would like to start doing something like this

@@MommaDrake02 awww thank you.
You're right, it really is the small things, looking after plants makes me feel good.
Nature is a great healer. The organic food you can grow is full of nutrition, and through gardening your mind can have a clear out.
I think 'beginning' is the hardest part of the process tbh. Get over that hurdle and... you're off. Lol 🌻
“I’m the type of person to expect the worst” girl same. Anxiety is no joke.
🤣😭 it’s kinda funny and sad at the same time
I do it too. I recently told my therapist I have lived for the last 28 years where I work thinking next year I will be next to be fired. I told her....living that way is pretty sad isn't it?

I feel for her, being in lockdown is no joke. My family has to go into quarantine for 2 weeks and our dogs got really sad because they weren’t getting to go outside, they looked so happy when they got to go on a giant walk the day we got out!
@@OceanSidezOnline no government is gonna force me to stay inside 24/7. I WILL go outside
When you do hopefully get to go home, you should see if there are any shelters in the area that will take to food you have to leave behind - they will all have policy’s in place for donations at the moment
this, so much this! it would really be a waste to throw it out, rather than donating it. especially as most homeless shelters and food pantries* are under _way_ more demand than "usual", because of the individual economic impact the pandemic has had
* not sure if they're called that (food pantries) in australia but that's the US term 🤷🏻

And to what end? Better their citizens life? Uhhhh socialism, how scary indeed!

@@TheeAntisocialXxtrovert that sounds so terrible I hope you mum gets better some day and get help

I teared up for you when you were upset. I am so sorry for you guys but I am happy that you James and Bowser are together at the least.
We’ve had the most stressful time trying to get our puppy across the border, she’s literally half an hour away from us and yet we can’t pick her up. I haven’t been able to see my two disabled siblings for months! I’m so sorry your exemption fell through.
That’s awful! How long can Australians put up that.

I think what makes me most angry is that our PM was given an exemption and able to cross the NSW border for Father's Day while SO many families just like yourself are displaced or separated from being with their loved ones. It's just not right. I don't think that just because someone has more political standing, power or money that they should being given higher priority. Even like when that Katie Hopkins lady was somehow able to enter Australian Borders for BB! Thank goodness that was rectified.
Basically organic produce has more bugs because they apparently don't use pesticides.
I started storing my fresh herbs in the freezer :D they don't need even need to be defrosted before use which is great!

You don't look bad you look gorgeous as always, nothing wrong with being organised I plan my holidays and pack months in advance 😂.
I'm sorry you guys have to deal with this ! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers!
How lucky that the government loves everyone and wants to protect us! Politicians are super trustworthy, it’s good we let them make important choices for us 🙄
Yes, history had taught us this is the best idea. Give the government more power. Nothing can go wrong.
I’m glad you added that emoji at the end lol
scared me till i saw the emoji HAHA
My heart breaks for you! What is happening here in Aus is horrible. I am grateful I am in Qld but have family and friends who are also stuck in these horrible lockdowns. Love all that you do and love your channel 💕
Awwww Deli
So sorry to hear Deli, I live in regional nsw 100km from the Vic Boarder but I go to uni in Melbourne. I went back to NSW for uni holidays and within 7 hours notice my town got removed from the boarder bubble so had to make decisions to go back to uni where all my belongings were or stay in nsw with no idea when i would get back. I ended up going to Melbourne and now I don’t know when I’ll get to see me family again. Know how you feel deli and thinking of you.
My heart breaks hearing this :( Sending you lots of love and support Deli and fam!
I remember your tweets about this situation so I knew what happened a bit before starting this video but seeing you pack all these things in preparation to go makes me feel a lot for y’all and your circumstances out there.
Virtual hugs, Deli and James. This is such a difficult situation and I’m so sorry.
Edit: This is a political situation, unfortunately. You’re allowed to have opinions on that, Deli. More hugs.
I have the same bowl as Bowser for my babies! Happy Birthday 🎁 Browser!!! ❣️❣️❣️
8:33 I swear, James scared the hell out of me 😭
Same and I was waiting for it because I read your comment🤣
same! jump scare 😭😱🤣
I love deligracy vlogs!! Youre so pretty :) and its always cool to see your day in the life, especially since I mostly watch your sims videos.
i live in a victoria border town so nsw is literally just a bridge away and we can’t go there and they can’t go here. i haven’t seen my family since march
My heart is broken for you guys, but hopefully soon you'll be able to return to your home state.. Also, you're not alone in the bossy mom department! That's totally the type of person I am and my family accepts me! James seems like the type of person to perfectly balance you out, just like my husband.
Praying for you guys and hoping you get to go home soon! Keep your chin up! Sending love from Tennessee. 💜
I had no idea the Covid rules were so strict in Australia, what a nightmare. My country barely has any restrictions and they're completely opening everything on September 29th.
Maybe you father should hear about it.
You’re so lucky.
Denmark?
Just sending hugs. James be sure and give our Deli lots and lots of hugs!
I am so sorry :( that must be so awful! It makes me feel rather I have completely taken for granted that I am home during the whole thing and that I am not in a situation like you three :(
I really hope you all get to go home soon! Stay strong! ❤❤
Oh, Deli. I am so, so sorry for what you're going through. I cannot imagine how stressful it must be for you, being stranded away from home. It's good that you have Bowser and James to keep you company, but it can't be easy! I'm praying you'll be able to get a travel exemption soon. Meanwhile, take care of yourself and of your family. You'll get through this! 💕
It looks like she’s at home though ? Does she have two houses in different areas or something? The cupboard is full of her things with her name on a container and everything I’m so confused
@@victorialang2103 Deli lives/has her own place in Melbourne and James lives/has his own place in Sydney. Deli is currently stuck in James’ place in Sydney
Force to you
I can't really imagine what you are going through right now
I'm in France, and there is almost no restriction anymore (You need to have a pass to enter some building and wear a mask when indoor)
Following what's happening from afar via the media and all that
Stay positive, and keep a good routine, that's the best thing to do right now
I’m so sorry you weren’t able to go home! The whole situation really sucks! I live in Sydney in on of the LGAs of concern and all my family live in regional NSW and I haven’t seen them since May. It’s really tough! I hope you’ll be able to go home soon!
I love how your vlog is very fun and real. Always excited for new one! But I feel sorry for you that you can't go home. I hope you will able to go home soon 💛💛
Sending you lots of love, Deli! I found your channel during quarantine, so good things do come out of the pandemic ❤️Hope you and James are much better now
Can you cut up all your organics and freeze them?
The only problem is finding room in the car for all the food too!
Otherwise a good idea if we can fit it in!
I am terrible and barely cook. Your tomato and broccolini looked so delicious it actually motivated me to cook my own breakfast this morning. My neighbor gave me some lovely tomatoes from her garden and I made a great breakfast scramble with them. Thank you for the motivation!
You are soooooo optimistic. I would be stressed and upset through this whole process, and not nearly as positive about it.
I'd have waited til we were out the door to throw out the parishables. But I feel for you guys! I hope you do get to go back soon.
I’m sorry to hear about the things people from Australia are dealing with, when they just want to go back home to their families, friends, or treasured belongings. My mom has been so invested reading the news about what’s going on there, she feels really bad, but you don’t need our pity, we will pray for you and others instead, have a good day, Deli, James, and Bowser.
I’m so sorry… 🥺 They really got your hopes up and it’s completely understandable to be upset about it. I’m in the states and have read about Australians unable to go home and gosh, it must be so hard! Sending love and hopes that things get better soon. ❤️
I feel you. My partner is in NSW and I am in Melbourne and we can’t see each other. We seen each other in April but since then nothing because of everything happening. We have missed so much 😭
I can’t even go see my future mother in law because she is living in South Korea.
I’m so so sorry you weren’t able to go home. It’s hard to let in people who are being safe without worrying about people who might not be. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Also being the crazy mom with a chill family is very relatable - that will be me too someday lol
I feel that. Keep calm and drink whiskey 😁 When my husband are too relaxed while I am anxious and running around cleaning in 10 places at once. Add the kids picking up on my anxiety and going in crazy mode. Sometimes it's hard to hold it in. Most of the time I break when they have gone to bed 😅 I hope you get to go home soon! 💕
Stay strong beautiful! It’s got to get better soon I hope .. I will say it’s taken a toll on a lot of people it’s truly sad you can’t go home!! Sending my prayers all this goes away and gets better soon I hope for everyone 🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Also, Deli, don't feel weird for packing the food. I DO THE SAME EXACT THING
I'm sorry to hear this. I don't live in Australia (I'm from Scandinavian), but I honestly hope that it will get better. I can relate so bad to the stress and even to the negative mindset. It is very comforting to hear another person speaking is earnest about ones feelings in these times. It makes you feel less alone. I really truly wish you the best and hope that this pandemic soon will come to an end.
I totally get that part about wanting to know what's going on and planning, but why would you throw out the perishables the night before? That's a job that can be done within a few minutes if you get the go ahead.
girllllll I feel you. im so sorry you're going through this. I've been trying to get back to WA from NSW to see my mum who's been diagnosed with cancer and I can't even get back. sending you lots of love xx
I have a friend who went to visit her sister in Aussie with her infant and her teenage son in between no lockdown and level 4 lockdown in NZ. She got to send her son home back to NZ, and they will not let her leave Aussie or enter NZ so the family is separated. It really sucks. And making people wait for days and then to dash their hopes is maddening. I hope you get to go home soon Deli, but I'm glad you have your boys with you for company and comfort
Awh that sucks, The best thing about it is that People are so strong if you think about it, we can all do it, it’s just we have to be ready to face the hardship we will have to deal with. Let your friend know greet are already so strong, all they need to do is be positive! It always works in the end.
O my favorite storyteller this breaks my heart I do not like to see you sad Sending you both virtual hugs, love and positive wishes that you can return home soon. Bright side at least you have each other and bowsy!
That’s so wild that they can tell you you’re not allowed to go to the home you pay for or be on the grass that’s on your property
Yep :(
@@deligracy Deli, I live in the US and I apologize but I’m not familiar with the laws over there. What happens if you and James just get in the car and go? Are there road blocks or somthing? Much love from the US, please stay strong and positive ❤️
@@Jones0593 road blocks definitely are a thing there, but I guess someone could sneak on foot if they really wanted to
Do they still have to pay rent or is all of that being waived because that would be soooo wrong to be paying for a place you aren’t even allowed to go back to
I really feel for all of you.
