I think we got a little more snow down here near Avon, but I too think the Maverick handled the snow, ice, well. Normal road I drive has a steep incline which before I had the Maverick I would by-pass due to people not being able to climb it when snow or ice is covering it. Maverick climbed it with no issues.
We didn't get much snow or ice in Lafayette but I noticed when I was in Westfield and Carmel there was more snow in spots. But I had no issues in any location with the snow or ice. I do think when it comes time to replace tires, I might try to find a bit more aggressive tread pattern. The Continentals are fine, but I think I would like something that is a bit more like a truck tire, while trying not to sacrifice the gas mileage!
Good deal, Glad to hear it does well in bad winter weather. Mine is built and scheduled finally to be delivered to the dealership nearby around the end of January. Was not really looking forward to getting it in the winter months prior to getting the truck coated but is what it is. We got a good 6" or so here is SW Ohio along with the brutal cold and wind for a few days but most of it is melting off and gone now. They sure aren't shy about using road salt and chemicals around here. I don't hold a lot of faith in that delivery date with being on rail but the longer it takes the closer to spring it will be I guess!!
Hopefully you get yours and the weather behaves long enough to coat it. I got most of the truck coated in Fluid Film but will have to finish in the spring after some intense washing and driving in the rain. There are so many panels on the bottom of the truck, it makes it time consuming to coat.
The Lariat has more standard options than XLT, but you can add some options to XLT. Personally, I like cloth seats versus the fake leather in the Lariat. So I ordered the XLT and added some options that are standard in the Lariat. I added heated seats, head steering wheel, heated outside mirrors, power driver seat, sunroof, and co-pilot 360. I am going to make a video in the future walking through those options and how well they work in the Maverick. I am very pleased with all of them. Even today, my only complaint is the Carplay system. Mine continues to lock-up randomly. The Lariat has Sync 3 which is much more stable.
