Not only are we treated to a feat of athletic prowess at the beginning, we also get to witness a demonstration of Nick's limbo skills to enter the engine compartment at the end. Along with a surprise second bedroom, two en-suites, a hidden television and massive anchor chain locker there's something for everyone here. Brilliant. What a lovely boat, thanks Nick.
That second cabin is definitely the master
Nice boat and unusual to see it with a Seakeeper. I just have to pick you up on one point when talking about range you said 'less of course if you drop the speed right down', as you said earlier 'it's been a long day'..
Good point, well made! 😳 I was probably thinking less fuel burn, but you're quite right.
Once again, you have demonstrated your thorough knowledge of the watercraft you've shown us. It's a rather special little boat.
Why oh why can't I win the lottery 🤒
What a great use of space, loved the lounge area really nice and that second cabin was great. Amazing how they can cram so much in and its got window thingies lol. Nice tour as always, thankyou Nick.
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Stunning boat today, and I do love an absolute. And, Nick you are correct, they are great with layouts even being clever with them 13 years ago! Brilliant tour thanks Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Lovin this! How they stuffed all that in a 47 footah is beyond me! Could be a 1 year old boat. Thanks Nick! Thanks for the mirror wave too! We all waved back!
What a stunning little boat. She has far more room inside than you think. I like the light wood they have gone for just adds style to her. Thanks again Nick for bringing this boat to us.
They second cabin surprised me. I could really live it up on this one. Thank you for another great yacht Nick.
You're very welcome! 🙂
Old or new the Absolutes are always a great looking boat inside or out. This is no exception. Much appreciated as always Thanks Nick
Our pleasure!
Excellent boat, for it's age well worth the money, that IPS drive makes boating easier, I had great difficulty docking in windy conditions ,this makes boating very easy, many thanks as usual Nick.
Really like the fit and finish on this one that has also held up, galeon has clearly always put a lot of emphasis on it, also gives owners of the newer models more confidence that they are buying a quality product
Cheers nick
Great looking boat and especially the spacious galley and cabin areas! The hull needs some tender loving care though…. Thanks Nick for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
That boat has everything doesn`t it... Looks very contemporary in the use of colours and materials. Fab design interior. Two excellent cabins with en-suites. Just a 2008 delight. Generator... Gyro stabiliser... Garage... all supplied with the very rare but optional GLASS PANEL THINGIES to see out of, which became so popular that all boats cars trains planes and now even houses are using them. LMAO !!!
You Nick are actually awesome... A delight to watch. fascinating to listen to as your knowledge is vast and you seam genuinely really great guy that doesn`t take everything so seriously. Hope to meet you in person one day and shake your hand.... Awesome
You're very kind 🙂
What a lovely looking boat, loads of space including tender garage and those two double cabins.
It makes for a beautifully equipped weekender. Cheers Nick.
Every time you open a switch panel my heart speeds up and i think boating is probably a dream. I have still walked around the marina again today gawping.
Gyro stabilisers on a 47. Wonderful. Great as a dive boat when moored miles off our coast and the non divers have to persevere the rocking and rolling whilst waiting.
Another superb video, it’s not appreciated enough that you make a relatively niche interest so accessible to so many! Teenagers like me would be so far removed from this… thanks Nick
You're very welcome, glad you're enjoying it! :)
@@AQUAHOLIC They should name this boat TARDIS. It's bigger inside than it is outside.
Another new technical term huh Nick…. Window lol. Was not expecting this boat to be as good as this. Another great video, thanks.
I'm learning all the time! 😄
Windows are indeed a great thing. Thanks for the video, Nick.
You're welcome!
Wow that aft cabin is incredible, what a superb boat with some really nice touches that for its age is very impressive. Absolute really we’re ahead of the pack with this one. Another great tour Nick, thanks! 👍🏻👋🏻
That mid-cabin is an excellent and unexpected surprise. But the around layout is very spacious. This is a great boat.
(Not sorry about the pun in the earlier post)
Thanks for another great tour!
Cheers
That is a nice layout. Beautiful ship. I love how they cram so much into the engine room, so much more room for living. Doesn't look that fun to work on though.
"Lovely glass panels, windows I believe they're called..!
Excellent Nick, love it..! 👍
Love your videos, my favorite part is seeing all the different designs that manufactures choose to apply. Also like how we get to see used boats, just a more realistic option for people. Oh and your delivery is money, so friendly and informative.
Thank you!
For a boat that is 14 yrs old it is in excellent condition apart from the underside that needs a good clean and anti fouling treatment applied. It really is a tardis with excellent accommodation and space with the emphasis more on family than entertainment. It's still well above my pay scale.
Nice boat with lots of mod-cons for its age. Not sure I’ve seen a sports cruiser this small with a stabiliser? Must be a very smooth ride and anchor? Like it!
Wow! - quite incredible - I agree for a 47ft boat they have used the space so well. Really like it!
This boat is full of surprises!! Much boat for the money!
Fantastic double en-suite for this size boat very impressive.
Love the rover for scale at the beginning.
Wow this boat is great! So much more room inside than you would expect by looking at it.
Wow! These boats are massive, look how small the range looks in comparison
In previous comments, I asked you to record about Absolute. Thanks for this video, my observations: at 47 too little space to sit, too much for sunbathing, sliding doors hit the feet of the yacht operator, small kitchen, difficult access to the engines, and the pluses are design unlike any other, lots of space below deck, great bedrooms and bathrooms, wide doors compared to Fairline, super sliding roof, greetings to the readers and you, Nick
That's a very well loved and nicely updated boat. Ye olde worlde Volvo joystick included!
Love these boats and the slightly bigger brother; Atlantis 50x4 is the target for our next boat if budget ever allows! So can you find one of them to tour too please 😁
This one has clearly had some large cost items added which are brilliant and compliment the glass sided cockpit well!!
Thanks Nick, you’ve entertained and enlightened us all brilliantly again.
You're very kind 🙂
Great video and Wow wasn't expecting the second cabin to be like that. Beautiful interior. Very nice looking boat.
Glad you enjoyed it
I love how you find that TV and act as if its the first TV you've ever seen LOL! 👍👍🤣
An amazing boat. The interior did not seem at all dated. Thanks for showing it Nick.
Cracking boat, with loads of extras.
Great video and very nice Absolute. Time to head home, Marianne has some fish pie waiting for you!
Very nice boat, very smart cabin System and a cool vid! Thanks Nick🤜🏻
Glad you liked it!
Hi Nick, Thank you for this nice show of this Absolute 47 yacht from that time are from the outside mostly equal but the big change is then in the inside what a nice aft cabine with the bed diagonal placed this give a lot of space in the room and a good size bathroom and a nice bonus the girostabelliazer Thank again a great show
Glad you enjoyed it :)
This boat is brilliantly laid out! Absolutely love it, and it’s great looking too!
Hi Nick. Beautiful blue hull, tardis inside with a surprise 2nd cabin. 2008 its fantastic yacht. Thanks 😊
Well done Nick...another fab tour of another superb boat. Those two cabins were the best I have seen in this size...I think either are the main stateroom...maybe the midships is the owner cabin, but who knows? An unbelievable use of space. Superb lower decks. What a SUPER boat!! I will never get tired of seeing these 'affordable' boats, the designers need some serious applause for what they achieve. I love this boat!!!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
That has to be smuggler's blues III. What an awesome boat.
WOW ! I wasn't't expecting that aft cabin ! very nicely proportioned boat .
I agree that the interior layout of this boat is really good. I like the idea of having two good sized cabins.
Thanks for another tour. :-)
I think you were right about that hidden television.
Fantastic value for money for the size and finish. Two good sized bedroom cabins.
Great review mate! I think this is a perfect replacement boat for your current one.
Fantastic boat that Nick. I would say timeless. It’s never going to get old. Great stuff
Ohh, not seen green in the heads before. Do like those diagonal cabin layouts, combined with the compact ips drives does make for some impressive spaces aboard.
Great looking boat Nick, your right its got a great layout and a great use of space and in good condition, looks like a good buy!
That was a portable Ice Maker next to the Fridge under the BBQ Grill.
Big Fan, love the Channel ... Stay Safe ‼️
Hi Nick no Buts from me on this one. The saloon had a fresh non fussy even stylish feel to it. For me, the second cabin I would baggsy for my own. For the price it was top notch. Cheers DougT
Lot of boat/kit for the money. Great review. Thank you
Beautiful boat. The doral Algeria with the ips drives had the same type of aft cabin as this. Very rare. Another great video to get us through the off season. Thankfully it’s only about 4 weeks until our season starts again
I fell in love with boats in an Absolute 47!
I still remember that “new boat smell” to this day
Thanks for the memories Nick
Our pleasure!
I am astounded at this 47-foot boat! What an amazing cabin layout. I'd buy this craft in a pheasant's wing-beat if I had the cash on-hand. Terrific review, sir.
Thanks for bringing back the wave.
Also, what a lovely boat and I'm going to put this down on the short list for my 40th birthday. 🤔 Just need to save some money.
The original 45 open in 2005 was the first ever sports cruiser with the big windows in the saloon . It was startling at the time . The 45 with twin D6’s on DPH legs was the best handling boat they ever made , super economical too , burned half the fuel of an equivalent fairline targa 47 and faster too.
Great video Nick.
Nice boat with a lot of Space.
It only need a bit of TLC and paint when it becomes spring.
I suppose this just shows that Absolute has been knocking it out of the park for a while? LOL Really LOVE that mid cabin, what a surprise! And of course, great job as usual, Nick. Always such a pleasure to watch your tours.
You're very kind :)
Alot to like in that boat; personally I would have gone with a darker high gloss wood, but loved the space in the galley area and the master cabin (at the stern). That would be an entertaining boat to dock in a key for a day or 2.
Only thing - woof, that lime green countertop color in the heads is straight 70's, lol...
Five more numbers on the Euromillions last night and I would have been in touch with you about this boat, Nick. Keep up the great work mate.
Thanks, will do!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful boat/yacht.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@AQUAHOLIC You are welcome. It is great looking at warmer items to either drive or boating.
What a lovely boat! A good starter one I think.
What value for money - If either partner snores, there's a double bed apiece - _can you put a price on a decent night's sleep_ - I like this boat! Thank you Nick.
Really spectacular boat. You could've told me it was 10 years newer and I'd have believed you.
That’s a nice vessel and worth putting the parents into a home to purchase !
The day just got better. Thanks nick
You're welcome! :)
Love the mid cabin on this one thanks as always Nick
My pleasure!
Yes, Nick, this is an Absolutely lovely boat.
Cheers
Lovely boat, especially for its age, and a triumph of packaging! Thanks, Nick!
I know it's a matter of perspective, especially compared to the superyachts you often feature, but I have to laugh at all the people calling this 47-footer a "little" boat. SB2 is 26 feet, the biggest boat I've owned is 20 feet, and the biggest privately owned one I've even been on out on the water was 40 feet, and that was a sailboat! Many marinas I've been to couldn't even accommodate a 47-footer! Horses for courses, I guess, so it depends on where you do your boating.
This is beautiful. Never really been a fan of sports cruisers like this... I've always preferred trawlers for their sedate pace, seaworthiness and long distance ocean going capability... or power cats for their acres of space and likeness akin to a floating condo suitable for cruising the Mediterranean. And to that end, I'm currently running a 2012 Selene 56 here in Denmark, and a Lagoon 630 in Port du Bouc, south of France. I used to own a Beneteau Swift 50 trawler which honestly didn't know what it wanted to be thus tried to tick too many boxes so compromised on the finished item. But if I'd ever been in the market for a sub 50ft sports cruiser, this one would do it. Ticks all the boxes, such an awesome designed layout and really hasn't dated at all compared to so many yachts of that era. Another great tour, Nick 👍👍👍
Nice choices!
@@AQUAHOLIC Thank you. I love them both ... I've worked hard but I also know I'm immensely lucky. The 56 is twin engined and I've cruised her all the way up & down the Swedish and Norwegian coastline although there's still plenty more to see. I've also cruised her from my main home in Cornwall (my partner is Danish) and to the Faroe Islands and Iceland. 2.5gph and so stable and reliable. The only reason to let her go will be when I get my hands on a Selene 60 Ocean Explorer. Check them out, stunning boats AND has a jacuzzi at the Portuguese bridge. In the process of ordering for a late 2023 delivery 😒 As for the Lagoon... It'd take pages to write how I feel about it 😍 but we spent all last summer cruising the Mediterranean and avoiding people and the plague. If there is ever the opportunity, I'd love it if you could do one of your video tours on either. Neither are on your channel and they really are wonderful boats that seem to slip under most people's radar.
Anyhoo, love your channel.
@@Maulinator69 If either of them make it back to Cornwall, give me a shout!
If the company that did the refit on that fairline 58 you showed a while back will do other boats as well, i would say buy this and let them work their magic on it and you've got yourself a cracking little boat for not a huge amount of cash. Also i was surprised by how quiet the roof and tender garage worked for their age, seeing as some of the younger boats you've shown often make noticeable mechanical noises compared to this one, they've either been very well looked after or very well built from the factory. Another cracking episode nick.
Wonderful. Now that is a serious boat for the money
'Glass sides to the hardtop, windows I believe' So funny :-)
This modern technology... 😳
"Glass covered area - a window" Aquaholic coins a word. I've just submitted this to the OED Committee. Fingers crossed.
It will never catch on... 😄
4.26 I like the logo and I like the wooden steps
But my oh my those socks clash with the décor
Very clever layout, superb boat.
Cracking wee boat and in lovely nick as well...layout is pretty damn good also....is a good buy for someone albeit not at 300k though, possibly 250k.
I can't help but feel that the rear sunbed/tender garage takes up a lot of valuable real estate that might have been put to better use.
How the heck could that second cabin be so big on a 47 foot boat. This boat is amazing.
Very nice boat many thanks for the tour
Glad you enjoyed it :)
A splendid little sub 50 footer indeed.
That window bit made me laugh haha
Wow that was some use of the space
Very nice looking boat. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Excellent video Nick
Many thanks!
That Klarstein looks like a small ice making machine? Love the boat - ideal size for a couple and lots of extras to compliment it!
Apparently it is!
Thanks Nick!
A LOT of boat for a 47 footer. I was very surprised by the 2nd cabins spaciousness.
It seems like a good bargain for the price.
Our pleasure!
Another nice one Nick
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow great boat in near new condition. I assume the ips is allowing the large mid cabin? Loverly!!
When they're docked it's hard to get a full sense of the size of a ship.Seeing a Range Rover looking to be an anchor certainly gives a new perspective.I believe the small appliance,in the deck saloon, was a counter-top ice maker.Smart of them. That ship has everything for a week out, except an opening where I could reach the engines.(I can't limbo)Well worth the $ and the bit more for servicing.I'd buy her.
OMG I love it
Beautiful boat. That wiring though in the engine bay makes my teeth itch
Wow what an amazing little boat I would imagine that she will sell quickly with all the little extras she's got just wish I had £300k lol
