That was an awesome peace on the GT turbo, i had a red one back in the 90's, and i had a lot of hot hatches back then, but the GT turbo gave me a smile walking up to it, and then an even bigger smile on my face when i got out of it. Nice video well done 👍🏾
Great story what a rare find congratulations . I had mine from nearly new in '91 had it 12 years apart from a snapped clutch cable it was faultless and sold it in 2003 still in fantastic condition and 92 000 miles .
I had two snapped clutch cables. Renault eventually recalled them to have the plastic part replaced with steel after they had stopped making them which I thought was impressive.
Had a red one of these from new reluctantly sold in 94 due to expanding family. Would have kept but back then couldn't afford 2 cars. Now drive a 997.2 S great car but had more fun driving the R5 as far fewer traffic cameras in those days
I had one of these in pearl white, loved it. Someone kicked the paper thin door in for me and the respray did not match. Cannot believe this has the original wheels.
I sold my R5 many years ago now, still miss it. If I could find one like the tur_bros one in this vid, I'd be all over it. Hopefully they'll be another vid on the tur_bros other car, an MG Metro Turbo in British racing green
Great video, well made and nicely documented. One small issue, the music levels are far louder than the voice over, I had to keep turning the volume down, then back up. Other than that, excellent.

Fantastic, great video, lovely original example, I have just this week scratched my 30 year itch and got my first 5 Turbo, love it.

Unreliable
Yep agreed. I have never bought another French car since due to its unreliability.
