I really loved seeing the show focus on characters that aren't young 20 year olds. I'm sure there are other shows who have done this before and I'm dumb and haven't seen them, but that's what really got me excited about this pirate show. Characters that aren't young or Hollywood 'pretty'. They look and are real people.
