- The global Pokémon GO FEST is just around the corner, and if you are not prepared, you are not going to have a good time! In this video, I will be going over very important tips for getting ready for what is going to be the best event of the year!

Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. A part of the Pokémon franchise, the game is the result of a collaboration between Niantic, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It uses the mobile device GPS to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, which appear as if they are in the player's real-world location. The game is free to play; it uses a freemium business model and supports in-app purchases for additional in-game items. The game launched with around 150 species of Pokémon, which had increased to around 500 by 2019.
Pokémon Go was released to mixed reviews; critics praised the concept, but criticized technical problems. It was one of the most used and profitable mobile apps in 2016, having been downloaded more than 500 million times worldwide by the end of the year. It is credited with popularizing location-based and AR technology, promoting physical activity, and helping local businesses grow due to increased foot traffic. However, it attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and creating public nuisances. Various governments expressed concerns about security, and some countries regulate its use. By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.

What I like to do is stretch well and have water and snacks because it's going to be a lot of walking and the heat can be rough

It's funny, as far as in-game goes I'm basically doing the opposite of everything you said: I'm playing alone because other people are too slow and I won't be focusing on raids anyway. Raids take time away from shiny hunting. Instead I'm spending the week trying to get the shiny UBs I need so I can avoid them entirely during the event. I'd also never dream of trading or battling during Go Fest - again, that's time away from shiny hunting.
I'd say your guide is great for people focused on raiding and/or socialization, but if someone mainly wants to maximize shiny results, they would need to go about it differently. That's a simple game: get as many encounters as possible, which means drastically limiting any other in-game activities aside from shiny checking and catching, and moving constantly in spawn-dense areas.

Also try and keep your phone shaded/cooled - once it gets too hot it won’t allow it to charge anyway, and have water with you!

Don’t forget your water, snacks, hat of some sort, sun glasses, and sun block . Just in case take some pedialyte and some fruit like watermelon and cucumber with some lemon. You can take a little salt with you just in case someone gets heatstroke to add to water or the fruit. Or buy some Gatorade/powerade. Don’t over do it if you are in the sun. Take lots of breaks and try to stay somewhere shaded if you are walking in the sun. Personally have been doing a lot of egg hatching for these last few days and the sun has been kicking my butt . Even though I’ve been determined and had it pay off with a few shiny hatches, it takes a toll even when I was fully hydrated. Be safe out there and have fun guys. Especially if you have little ones and older folks .
I can’t afford a ticket this year so I really don’t see the point of me playing, but good luck to everyone who is playing and best of shiny luck to all ✨

Don’t forget to utilize remote raids in the time zones that are a day ahead. I’m going to be going crazy remote raiding necrozma in Aus/NZ on Saturday as local raids are not great.
Am i the only one playing with 350 item space and 400 pokemon space?? 😢😢
Yea I got about 6800 item space and 3700 pokemon space
I’m the same. I have 350 item bag and 550 items so I’m not gonna be able to gain anything unless I spend 10 pounds which is a waste. I have 400 Pokemon storage and 75 free spots so that should be fine if I just keep good IV and shiny Pokémon

I’m debating. After all those raids and one shiny I’m a little salty. Why pay for raid lover and my chances are no different.
Something weird had happened to us twice. When we take the reds out of the gym after they reach 8 and a half hours or more and enter the blues; withing a few seconds the red team is back with the exact hours like nothing happened. Has these happened to anyone else?

Ok, I am only one who feels go fest spawns are kinda mid and overused Pokémon and incense spawns are meh, but the raids are awesome and are worth it, but most of the other stuff is meh please don't take me seriously its just my option if you excited don't let my option ruin anyones experience remember we all have different options to everyone playing have a great time and catch 1 trillion shiny pokemon.
I cut in cubes, carrots, paprika, and cucumber and have an electrolyte-rich drink.
There is a big zoo where I live and there are a ton of pokestops there but there never seems to be a lot of spawns.

Why Niantic?!, why didn't they tell us about the evolution elite TMs during global gofest!?! The whole community missed it?!! I'm so upset about it. Now I have to wait months to evolve Mudkip, dratini, gible, charmander, deino, snivy, axew for elite TMs
One question I have is the raid spawn rates 😊 will they respawn and last every 30 min. like it was in the in person event this year ?

Ive got a love/ hate relationship with my Pokémon go plus +
It is great for keeping my inventory full spinning stops catching regular mon getting the occasional shiny , xp and dust ect
But the vibration is off the scale it literally doesn't quit buzzing
If id have known how bad it was id most definitely gone for a different auto catcher
What is most annoying niantic dont care an update to turn off vibration would really help
just open it and cut two wires. Done this on the first day i bought it and it still works great. (watch some videos)
