- 2019 Vlog of my travels to the Reno Air Races in Reno NV. Tag along on my journey, I race my Pitts Special S1C for the 1st time on the race track. Race 25 Shake N Bake.

What engine are you running to only burn 6gph?

Yeah, I looked up your tail number after asking the question and saw you had the Lyc 360.
I have an O-360 in my RV-8 but I burn 9-10 gph.
@@oxman1971 1HR 45 MIN was about 12 gals so maybe 7-8 gals a hour. I had the power pulled back alot following the eagle. plus im running a very very high pitch prop thats fixed as well and the plane is 900lbs. I think I was cruising at 2300RPMS when I race it im turning 3100 RPMS
PlaneJunkies at only 900lbs and the ability to turn 3100rpm, that thing must be fast.
